Dr Coplin and his staff are amazing. I took my son here for lip and tongue tie revision at the recommendation of our pediatrician and after a lot of research on my part. I called and got an appointment the next day! Dr Coplin was very knowledgeable about lip and tongue tie. My son is only 6 weeks old and he was very gentle with him and the entire procedure only lasted a few minutes. Afterwards they explained how to clean and care for my son's mouth and gave me support and a space to breastfeed. I would highly recommend Dr Coplin to anyone facing breastfeeding issues related to lip and tongue tie. I will definitely be taking my son back for any other dental work!

I canβt express the incredible amount of kindness that was flowing throughout this office. From the reception, dental assistants and Dr.Koplin himself! My Daughter had to get silver caps on her back molars this morning and he was very honest and upfront about everything.
They made my family very Comfortable and I wish they saw adults!! I am very pleased with our whole experience and will recommend them to everyone!!

We have been going to Dr. Koplin for 4 years and he and his entire staff are utterly amazing! My two girls now 7 & 10 ask to go to the dentist and will skip around singingβwe are going to the dentistβ over and over! The youngest one has had to have exstenive work done. She loves going! I know many families who bring their children here and all have had amazing experiences from the receptionist all the way back! Fabulous team that works together flawlessly ! I would and have in the past highly recommend Alaskaβs Dentistry for Kids! β€οΈ

Relief, that is what I experienced with Dr. Coplin. Iβve been able to dodge major dental care outside of a cleaning for a while now. However, recently my son had some cavities that needed filing. It was an amazing experience, so much so that I have switched dentist for my children. The staff is wonderful and caring!
I noticed a few negative post and honestly was speechless. As a parent, dental work can be stressful and I understand the frustrations that come along with that. However, with Dr. Coplin and his staff my family and I have had the best experience thus far.

Iβve been taking my girls to Dr.Coplin for over 7 years now. Always very professional and great with the littles. Even while working on my two year old (basic exam) he was very patient and gentle. Easy to converse with and you can tell he really cares about his little patients. The entire staff is excellent.

Just had a visit there today for our 4 year old son and let me tell you. It was the best experience Iβve ever had with the Dentist Office (including myself). My 4 y/o had a big hole in one of his molars and i wanted him to be seen ASAP. Went to Alcan dental first, they couldnβt do anything over there so they referred us to Anchorage Pediatric Dentistry, tried to make an appointment ASAP but they couldnβt fit us in so disappointing there. Called Alaska Dentistry for Kids instead and they fit us in! The front desk lady was sooo nice prior to visit and at the visit. Felix was our dental assistant, and Iβm telling you he was the best! They actually all were. He was super tentative to our child, explained to us detail by detail on what was going on, what was about to happen and our options. He made my son so comfortable and us comfortable that we knew we did not make a mistake coming here. Iβm a picky person when it comes to my kids especially if they have to be sedated. Dr.Coplin did such an amazing job with fillings and the silver crowning. My son did not cry was so ever, he was so encouraging the whole entire time with him, explained to us and my son was he was doing step by step. Last but not least, THIS WAS HIS FIRST VISIT and Iβm soooooo thankful they made it the best for him because my son, he hates hates doctors or any medical office with a bad experience we had at the ER. Sorry for making this super long, but for anyone looking around to see which place they should take their kids for dental work, ITS THIS PLACE. I recommend this 100%. Canβt wait to go back and take my oldest as well. Without a doubt making this our permanent place for our kids. Couldnβt thank you enough Alaska Dentistry for Kids, you guys live up to your practice.

Dr Coplin has taken great care of my Grandkids! A few were babies when they started seeing him! They love going to see them and have fun at their visit because itβs set up just for kids!

I'm still kind of reeling from my son's dentist appointment. Our experience was so horrible. First, we've kept our bubble very tight during Covid and I was shocked to see that there were so few precautions taken. I only saw one staff member wearing a mask correctly, and the majority of them either weren't wearing them at all or they were wearing them only on their mouths. (Including Dr. Coplin and the dental assistant who, of course, had to be right in my kid's face for a prolonged period of time.) There were multiple people in the waiting room at a time (also not encouraged to wear masks), lots of shared surfaces (including one pen to sign documents with), and no social distancing.
Next, my son was terrified from the get-go because there was a very scary movie playing on the TV in the waiting room when we arrived. (I asked them to change it, and they did.) Wait times were much longer than expected, which was difficult when I had a little guy who was hungry but couldn't eat for his procedure. We waited about an hour and a half before our procedure (though some of that time was waiting for meds to kick in).
Once the procedure started, they put what I thought were noise-cancelling headphones on my son (which would have been awesome and made sense) but then halfway through the procedure there was a comment about the "movie he was listening to". We like to make informed decisions about what our kids are going to watch or listen to, and after the waiting room TV I wasn't sure it was something that was appropriate and I wish I would've been asked before that happened. There was also a lot of talk about, "do this to be brave", "do this to be strong", "be tough", "be like Spiderman" (who he has no idea who that is). The last time we went to see Dr. Coplin, it was the same sort of thing and my little guy cried later in the day and told me he was trying to be brave but the dentist kept telling him he had to try harder. It broke my heart.
There were also staff members arguing and snapping at each other, and clearly some tension between the receptionist and others. If a three year old can pick up on it, you need to reign it in!
We are trying to raise kind, sweet, adventurous kids and you shouldn't have to un-teach things from a place that should be safe like a dental office.

My daughter loves it here! From the sweet receptionist to the assistants to Dr Coplin, they provide a fun and calming experience for my daughter every time. She loves going and looks forward to it. Would highly recommend!

Dr Coplin is the reason my daughter doesn't trust dentists. She tried to say she was hurting but he never stopped. With some research I found out that he isn't a pediatric dentist. I would not recommend!
