Unbelievably... it was actually fun!!
I'm a new patient for Dr. Randall, and I feel so lucky to now have her as my dentist! I currently live far away, so being able to get my initial appointment, x-rays, cleaning, crown (I had broken a tooth) and two small fillings all done on the same day (no extra visits!) was a huge benefit to me.
The office atmosphere is casual and friendly, while still being professional, and I really enjoyed this. Christine (dental assistant and front desk) and Dr. Randall clearly have a wonderful rapport and work extremely well together. Typically a dentist appointment isn't *fun* (for me, at least), but this one actually was, because Dr. Randall let me view the entire crown-making process: computer design, going into the lab to see the milling and baking processes---I even got to take a video of my own crown being made. I saw Dr. Randall's meticulous care in getting the boundaries of the crown *just right* to ensure a perfect fit. It was so much fun to have an opportunity to see this technology!
The information I had been given ahead of time about both costs and how much time things would take were *completely* accurate. In particular, it is very important to me to have accurate cost information up front, since I have no dental insurance. I checked around a lot, and the costs were completely reasonable.
I waited a few days before writing this review to see how my mouth would feel after all this work. Best ever! I had only some very minor discomfort the night of the dental appointment, and woke up the next day not even being aware that I had extensive work the day before. This is wonderful---I have several crowns, and for others (not done by Dr. Randall) my mouth has ached for days.
Also, the color matching to my existing teeth, for both the crown and the fillings (which were both on visible parts of my lower front teeth) was superb.
The hardest part of the entire experience was finding their particular office in the extensive office complex! It's a bit of a maze... Perhaps post a map near the "Dr. Randall" signs showing the complex and surrounding streets, with a large dot at their location? Disclaimer: my sense of direction is dismal, so likely most people wouldn't have the trouble I did!
Anyways, if you need a new dentist, you need look no further. I'm almost 65 years old, and have had a lot of dentists in my life---and Dr. Randall has quickly risen to the very top of all my dental experiences. Thank you so much!
