Dr van Zyl is very thorough and takes the time to explain what, how and why in an easily understandable manner. He has assemble a great staff to assist you. I highly recommend him. Not like other dentists that just run in and tell you what you need and run out. Not just a price driven dental practice, they are there to help you. Great people.

I broke a tooth one night and it was very painful. I didn't have a regular dentist so I did what everyone does and Googled dentists in my area. I read about 20 dentists. There was something about the kind face of Dr. Van Zyl that drew me to call the next morning. They got me in right away that day. The doctor could not have possibly been more friendly and professional at the same time, as was his aide. I was worried I'd have to have an expensive implant, but he was able to save the tooth and is doing a crown. His rates are quite reasonable and they have a couple of ways to finance the work. The next day after my initial appointment to set up the crown, I was having some pain. I called and once again I got right in. He did some sanding on one area of the tooth and that fixed it! I'm 70 and have been to a lot of dentists over the years. I've never had a better experience all around. The aide explained the payment options and costs very well. While I was getting numb, instead of going away and leaving me sitting there like most dentists do, he engaged me in a very nice personal conversation. If you need a dentist for an emergency or just for regular maintenance stuff, I strongly recommend you go to Dr. Van Zyl. In summary, the best for me was the clear sense that I mattered as a person and a patient. Such an attitude is getting more and more rare these days. By the way, I am a real patient and am not connected with his practice in any way. Some reviews are obviously a set up. Mine is not.

5 star experience. Timely appointment- got me right in. On time -no wait to be seen. Very kind, courteous and friendly staff put me right at ease. Thorough unhurried exam and detailed explanation of findings and recommendations with plenty of time for questions which were answered in language I could understand and with real life examples were needed for clarity. So thankful to have found a great dentist as we are new to the area. Highly recommend.

Great experience here! My teeth feel so clean! It was a comfortable experience and Dr. Van Zyl was kind and takes a holistic approach to dental problems. Staff was great as well!

I had a bridge that I managed to break. I found Dr Van Zyl and made an appointment. He told me what options I had and made a recommendation. I said let’s do it. It was complicated and he did a great job on my teeth. I look. Better than I did before and he understood the importance of getting my bite right. He did everything he promised and I couldn’t be more pleased! I recommend him without reservation, for any dental work you may need.

I have had less teeth removed by other dentists and the pain and recovery time were far greater than this visit. The Doc and his assistant were truly wonderful with their approach to me and my needs. He is and artist not a dentist. She is a very calming and comforting voice in a place that makes me uneasy...a dentist's chair. God bless them both. If you haven't been to see Dr. Van Zyl shame on you!
