Yu Smile Dental- Fairfield Family Dentist

Dr. Yu and her staff are always friendly and helpful. Nobody likes going to the dentist, but coming to You Smile is the best experience I've ever had with a dental office. Thanks for everything, Doc!

Very professional and kiind. Definitely concerned about patient comfort. the previous sentence was inaccurate. i based my review on one visit. the thing i have learned is Dr Yu has a very sweet exterior. but she is also a manipulator. once they know how much insurance you have, they will eat that and and then start dealing with the issue you came there with. which has to come out of your pocket. if you are in pain you will pay to relileve that pain. i went in and they pulled a tooth and then did a bone graft. then i had an appointment for the following week to pull another tooth. we were coming up on thanksgiving -new years holiday season. so i had 2 teeth pulled and she said i needed another tooth pulled. that was the reason for the following weeks appointment. but the tooth she pulled the previous week was giving me tremendous pain. it felt like an abscess.
i called the clinic and told them i didnt want to have a tooth pulled but ineeded her to look at my past extraction. since i was not going to have a tooth pulled, the appointment was cancelled. i call a couple of times after that asking if she could just look at it. they would not give me an appt. by then my face was swollen. i eventually went to the ER because i know of a case where a young man didnt get an abscess taken care of. he ended up close to death, had to go on a ventilator and suffered some brain damage. i was a respiratory therapist and one of the therapist assigned to manage his ventilator, while he was healing so we could extubate him. i didnt want to go through the same thing so i went to the emergency room to get care. i wont return. so once she used up all i had, i was refused further care. unless i agreed to spend more money

New patient to establishment with Ms. Yu and her staff. Nothing but amazing things to say about this place!
Starting off with the professionalism within. The staff was great everyone was so helpful in assisting me with my needs. It was my first time utilizing both of my insurances together and the reception staff was able to square me away quickly!
During my appointment Ms. Yu noticed something that was urgent and fixed me up!
Ms. Yu was jumping in between other appointments with out taking a break to make sure I was all good to go and healthy offered me multiple options of which route to go and very informative throughout the process.
Along the side of her was Ms. Margerie and Another female staff member who I can’t remember. Ms. Margerie was the absolute kindest! Answering all my random questions I had and providing me a little snack while I waited. It’s all the little things that I greatly appreciate!

I started coming to Yu smile dental last year. My sister referred me to their clinic. Dr. Yu is very thorough in explaining what needs to be done and what are the priority work that needs focusing. Staff are very polite, friendly and very helpful with your appointment needs, if need be cancellations and rescheduling your appointment. Didnt really have any bad experience yet so I am very happy with my decision in switching my dental clinic. Overall awesome place oh and its a plus that they have a clean facility, always a plus!!!

This is a post for those of you who get palpitations thinking about dental care. If you’re the grown-up who cries in the dentist chair or cannot consider going to your appointment without calling your therapist first, let me introduce you to the best dentist I’ve ever met (and I have done the rounds).

Dr. Yu is outstanding in craft but what sets her apart from other highly-capable dentists who do good work is that she empathizes. She sees if you’re nervous, she stops, she asks if you’re ok and what she can do to make you more comfortable. She’s gentle. She explains what needs to be done, answers questions, and gives options.

I have cried at every dentist appointment for YEARS and in fact any time I needed any dental work done recently, Dr. Yu knew I would bust out crying so getting ready for the appointment, she’d check in. Make sure she looked me in the eye as if to say “I’m watching you, I’ll make sure you’re safe.” And today, I did not cry.

Miraculously- for the first time in years, I knew I had an advocate, a provider who was going to watch and listen and pay attention and use caution and be responsive...and I realized I trust her. As long as it’s her, I know the work will be done mindfully and be done right.

She has been my dentist now for three years and I’ve had maybe 8-10 visits. It’s all done right. It’s all done kindly. She is the only dentist I ever want to see again. If I had to get on a plane to stay in her care, I would.

I’m a person who is just afraid of going to the dentist. When I sit in the chair at Yu Smile they really made me feel comfortable. I didn’t feel the needle it only felt like a little pressure. I’ll give the staff a 10 on a 5 scale . When I say she is good she is GOOOOD.🦷 .

I highly recommend this place to anyone living in the area. If you’re looking for a Dental office that is clean and state of the art, this is the place. The staff here are very professional and their work, stellar. Dr Yu is the most informative and meticulous Doctors I’ve ever had. Shout out to Milo my dental hygienist and the rest of the staff, they’re the best. Thank you for all the wonderful experiences and for always making me feel welcome. I will continue to purposely neglect my dental hygiene in hopes to see you all more frequently!

Friendly, efficient, and educational. This is a pleasant dental experience, fast (I didn’t even sit down after I checked in), and they take the time to connect as humans. They do this with customer service and professionalism by showing me images that help me to understand why they are recommending my individual treatment plan. Add a gentle and thorough cleaning experience with smiles from entry to exit, and you have the cherry on top.
