4/5/2022 I had another appointment with Dr. Nora Balota and staff this morning. Dr. Nora placed a filling and evaluated the need for a crown on another tooth. She decided to reserve judgment on the second tooth which will be reevaluated in June when I'm scheduled for a prophy.
I absolutely feel that Dr. Nora is dedicated to providing my wife and I with the best possible dental care at the least cost to us.
The new "in house" dental insurance program is of great benefit to us. Of course, my comfort and well-being during treatment was utmost in the mind and heart of staff. Stand Up Comedy and vocal numbers were again delightful and totally appreciated. Mike Koloski sends

Dr. Balota is fantastic. I started seeing her a few months back and have had cleanings, a cavity fixed, and a crown placed. She and her staff are so friendly and nice. She also does amazing dental work and explains things really well. Today I had to bring my infant son with me to my appointment and was nervous the office would be upset. Instead on arrival Dr. Balota went right over to him and played with him, carried the car seat into the exam area, and the staff kept him entertained during the whole visit. She said, ”We are all moms and have to support each other”. I just love everything about Dr. Balota and her office. Highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed!

First off, I'm terrified of dentists due to previous bad experiences. However, Dr. Balota and her team have made me feel so welcome and they make me feel better about going. They're always trying to find a way to make me more comfortable. I've known dentists to be in it for the money, but not this dentist. She's in it for her patients! Love the experience, the hygienist was amazing and very thorough. I was greeted as I entered the office. I was seen on time, and was even kept warm by a soft blanket Loire, the hygienist offered. Dr Balota was excellent. She took the time to listen and did a very thorough eval of my mouth. So much so that I found out shedding of the lining of the mucosa is a possible allergic reaction to my toothpaste. I was a dental assistant for 10 years and never saw this as a problem. Great information yesterday. Overall excellent experience. I didn’t feel rushed, Mesa Ridge Dental, my previous clinic, was good but the assistants, hygienist and providers, work so fast that you didn’t feel heard. I am so glad we switched. Behind the rather unassuming name "family dentistry" is a powerhouse of knowledge. Dr. Balota is one of the few OBI-certified specialists for TMJ-related disorders. She has validated expertise in functional rehabilitation of the jaws so they can function without interferences, which can cause muscle pain and headaches amongst other symptoms. Not everyone needs such treatment, but when you do it's good to know that there is someone close by who can help!
