Part of me actually looks forward to going to this dentist, which is a first! The atmosphere is very calm and relaxing, the staff is very detail oriented and friendly, and the equipment and rooms are sparkling clean and new. Even the nitty gritty of payment and insurance is spelled out clearly at the front desk. Dr. Fox is a pleasure to interact with, and does impressive work as well!

I recently moved to Maine and hadn't gotten established at a dentist office yet. With two weeks until my wedding, I somehow managed to chip my front tooth. I called Fox Family Dental and over a dozen other dentist offices and they were the only ones able to get me in immediately to fix the problem and were genuinely concerned for my urgency in the matter.
I can't thank Fox Family Dental enough for getting me in quickly and taking care of my tooth even though I wasn't a patient yet. Great customer service and a friendly staff.

My experience with Dr Fox is the epitome of why people HATE the dentist. I came to my scheduled appointment to get some fillings done. These were my first fillings and naturally I was very anxious. Dr Fox had set up for me to have laughing gas which I informed the assistant I didn't want. When Dr Fox entered the room this seemed to be the first thing that set her off. She told me I had 6 cavities when less than a month before said 5. She left the room and told me to decide on two with the assistant and she wasn't going to argue with me. I informed the assistant I wanted to do the two most critical today. Dr Fox came back and informed me she couldn't work on me because she wasnt in the right mindset after she said I accused her of changing things (I did not), said she didn't misspeak on the number of cavities (it's indeed 5 she confirmed), said I was questioning her expertise and profession, and admitting it was her Friday afternoon (it was Thursday at 3:50pm) and said she likely didn't have the patience she normally does. Needless to say I left the office in tears. Please avoid at all costs, especially Thursday afternoons!! Her bedside manner leaves lots to be desired. If your looking for a new dentist in Portland/South Portland, keep looking!
