To start he was very rude and insulted myself and my parents (I was already an adult at the time so mentioning my parents was irrelevant). I was a patient 2012-2013 when my husband was stationed at Fort Drum. Now, 4 years later I'm still having the work he did fixed. Not to mention dealing with having cavities that didn't exist filled, so now those teeth are an issue when they were fine before. Prices were way too high, such a rip off. Thankfully my insurance would only let him charge me a portion of his fees. And to top it off, they wouldn't release my records to me when we moved unless I paid for them which is illegal.

Do not go to this office for anything! Dr Schonfield told me I wasn’t a candidate for a bridge and wanted to send me to a colleague of his in Syracuse to get an implant, all he cares about is money and he is extremely rude and walks around with an unwarranted sense of entitlement. He did a root canal on me as well and I wasn’t numb either. I still get sick to my stomach when I think about going to his office. Do yourself a favor and pick a dentist that cares about you and your dental health.

Horrible experience... Very uneducated and unprofessional staff.. Who apparently talk bad behind clients back... Given what Dr schonfields personal assistant had mentioned while arguingnwith me....'Staff member gets sick on me and all I do was state the common question, if I miss an appointment and don't call 2 days in advance I get charged... What's the procedure with staff getting sick on me?!?! All they could do was shift blame on me and say I was a rude. I came to the office for a certain matter and all I got was appointments for a filling and a cleaning... Still nothing on the matter at hand... Will never go to that office again and will be sure to tell all solider's here at fort drum to never have their family go to this office. Waste of time and money... FYI he sent me to a specialist to be told what he should do...

My family and I have now been going to Dr Schonfields office a near four years, and I dont have any complaints. Staff are both friendly and knowledgeable.. Service is quick and to the point..

As far as some of the comments that are more negative in nature, all I can say is.. if one feels they have a genuine problem or concern just bring it to the office.. Sometimes people dont know there is a problem if its not brought up. Be part of the solution not the problem. :)

Worst. Dentist. Ever. Just about everything he did had to be redone (due to sloppy work and excessive pain).

If you want to be charged for services you probably don't need, then look no further.

If you enjoy the smell of tuna-breath while your teeth are being violated, Schonfield's your man.

Just as another Reviewer on here, I also was stationed in the Watertown area. I had only ONE cavity in my life, and when I went to see this doctor he told me I had 10 cavities!! I was skeptical. Dr Schonfield sensed by hesitation so he took me in a room and with his assistant showed me dark areas on the X-rays. Of course I had no idea what the heck a dark area is or looks like. I was still hesitant so I only had 5 cavities filled on the left side, and told him I would get the others done at my next job assignment since I was going to be moving within 6 months. The dental hygenist was rude and continued to lecture me about taking care of my gums and teeth. She did this through-out my whole initial check-up. When I moved out of NY and saw my new Dentist, he had told me I had NO cavities; therefore I did not have 5 cavities remaining to get filled. Stay far away from this dentist, especialy military active duty or dependants. This NY dentist only wants to make money, and they pick on young and/or unknowledgable people. Now I have to live with the fact that I did not investigate 10 cavities further, and all the follow-ups on these 5 cavities!! Not to mention, I see there is one other person on here who had the same situation, accept with 9 cavities after never having a cavity before!

I love this office. They are always very professional and helpful when I call or go in the office. Doc Shonfield is very personable. Definitely would recommend.

Have had some pretty extensive procedures done at Schonfield Dental .. Very prompt, friendly and thorough ..
Not cheap .. but you get what you pay for ..

I had to cancel due to covid and feeling ill. I rescheduled for 3 weeks out and then had to miss that appointment cause of a death in the family and had to leave the state, and now the office wont reschedule me or even help me in any way shape or form. Mind you, i had legitimate reasons. This is ridiculous!
