I had my first appointment at Prairie Rose South Bismarck the other day. They were outstanding. The front office staff were great and helped with getting the insurance straightened out. The hygenist was excellent and the dentist was also excellent. I would highly recommend them to anyone seeking a dentist.

I was in need of having some work done immediately. Called in and receptionist arranged for me to talk with one of my Dentist's staff and she arranged an appointment that worked for my schedule, and it was within 2 hours they got me in. My Dentist was busy but took the time to check on me and worked me into his schedule. This to me was very customer orientated. Cannot recommend them enough.

Since Prairie Rose has a very good reputation in town, they seemed like a sure choice for a long overdue dentist visit. I was having some very bothersome tooth pain and hadn't seen a dentist in 15 or so years. Unfortunately, my experience was not at all what I was hoping. The hygienist was obviously new. She was quite awkward, difficult to talk to, and lacked confidence. Not the high level of service I would expect from a respected provider. She should have had someone more experienced helping her, in my opinion.
The doctor didn't help matters much. While I'm sure she's competent and well meaning, I felt like she simply wanted to get done with me as quickly as humanly possible so she could move on to the next patient. She didn't address my tooth pain at all. She didn't explain much of anything and hurried off. Maybe the best description is "impersonal". Sorry, but I'm not going to commit to a $2,000+ surgery based on a 30 second "you need to do this..." statement. I ended up seeing another dentist that was COMPLETELY different. They were much better to work with and figured out my pain problem right away.
I will not be going back to that particular doctor at Prairie Rose again. I assume other doctors within this same practice are great. But keep in mind, every doctor is different so your mileage will vary based on who you're seeing.
