Concept Dentistry

Had my crown replaced here in Fargo. The facility and the staff are so welcoming. My kid liked hanging around during my entire appointment. Keep up the great work !!

Dr. Ann Slama was great with my 2 year old son. Very informative, answered all questions and did not rush the appointment at all. All the staff is so friendly, even the front office. Great experience.

Most people can live with having some anxiety about going to the dentist. For those with dental phobia, however, the thought of a dental visit is terrifying. They may be so frightened, in fact, that they'll do just about anything to avoid a dental appointment.

A phobia is an intense, unreasonable fear. People can fear a specific activity, object or situation. People with dental phobia often put off routine care for years or even decades. To avoid it, they'll put up with gum infections (periodontal disease), pain, or even broken and unsightly teeth.

8 years I have gone without seeing a dentist for this phobia. Today I went into Concept Dentistry, the receptionist and dental hygienist were incredible, they walked through everything with me and made feel as comfortable as could be. Than came the good ol Dentist, also the CEO of the company, who bargened with my phobia. After requesting to make the least amount appointments due to my intense anxiety, I was told I could do so, BUT I had to meet him half way. I couldnt make an appointment and cancel it because that means he cant make an appointment for someone else (aka no money in his pocket). I had canceled twice, due to reasons Mr CEO didnt even ask but assumed it was because of my phobia.(Now everything was canceled 24 hours in advance) I was told that I needed to see how good this appointment was to ease my phobia, man if only it was that easy. That if someone made an appointment at my buisness and canceled that I would know how he felt. You are right Mr CEO I do know how you feel, I know that people have lives and they cancel, two, three times...however many times, my CUSTOMER SERVICE NEVER FAILS THEM OR THEIR FEELINGS EVER!!! WITHOUT THEM YOU WOULD HAVE NO BUSINESS.

So with that said, phobias, anxiety and my absolute fear of dentist did not subside with you, it only got worse, and added yet another bad taste in my mouth with your disrespect to my feelings. Your foul language you used throughout the appointment was unprofessional and did not come off "cool." I wouldn't recommend your office to anyone. For someone who asked me not to cancel an appointment that was MINE, you sure did have a lot of openings to get in....maybe Im not the only who feels this way, but I hope I am the last. You cannot undermine someones fear ever, I will not meet you half way because I dont have to, my insurance and MY wallet pays, you sit back amd provide a service, if I would even call it that.

Initially I was very happy with Concept. My 8 year old son had a checkup, cleaning, bitewings, and sealants. And everything went well. However when my son fell ice skating and broke his (permanent) front tooth at the gum line, my opinion of Concept dentistry and their patient care changed drastically. Concept has an emergency line that they DO NOT ANSWER! I called the office that night 3 times and didn't get a return call until 2 days later! and even then I was told in the message that they had a cancelation and could get him in. So... if they didn't have a cancelation would they have even called??? The kind of injury my son had was a time sensitive one in terms of successful repair, not to mention root exposure can be painful among other things.
A week later I get a "follow up call", this time I answered. when I asked why they have an emergency line they don't answer the receptionist had no response. She told me that when you call after hours they call the next day, and when I said you called 2 days later she had no response. The receptionist then said she would look into it and call back. when she did she said I called on 2/28 and that they called me on 3/1. That is absolutely incorrect, I even checked my phone log just to be sure. I called on 2/27. she also mentioned that Dr. Salma was in a class until after 10 that night. My response to that is I DONT CARE. A competent office that truly cares for their patients (not just during business hours) would of had their emergency line covered by another Dr. I did however get a hold of a dentist who actually ANSWERED! Dr. Anderson at Anderson dental not only answered his cell phone, but the office even gave his home number for emergencies! AND he saw my son when he wasn't a current patient on record. He did a great job and was able to bond my sons own tooth back on. If I had waited for Concept to respond that wouldn't have been possible AND would have been more costly, but maybe that's Concepts hope.... Needless to say we now have a new dentist!!!! I also want to note that I would give zero stars but I don't have that option.

What an amazing place!!!! The staff, the atmosphere everything about it put me at ease. I will continue to be a life long patient here.

Great staff, very professional and friendly. Interior is nice, clean, and calming. I plan on doing all of my dental care here from now on, and I highly recommend this establishment.

They are very nice and helpful. They are very knowledgeable and they explain everything they do in detail. The building inside is very clean and up to date. I would definitely recommend Concept Dental.

Just set up my first appointment here, fantastic customer service thus far. Will bump up to 5 once I have the appointment and all goes well.

I go to the office that's in Valley City, I like going to them for any dental issues. They're really good at what they do and the staff is awesome!

My 10 year old said she felt so "accepted". Amazing staff!! Personal!
