I love Tualatin Modern Denistry! Everyone is friendly and proficient at what they do. Alexandria is my favorite hygienist. She’s thorough, professional, and a lovely person. Dr. Mattson is my dentist and does an amazing job. More importantly, I trust them!

[Update 1/6/20: Still no returned phone calls or emails from the office staff to resolve my issue. I've reported this clinic to the Oregon DOJ consumer protection division for investigation] Unfortunately I have to give this location only one star. Dr. Matteson was good and the hygienist too. My major issue is with the insurance billing. I have two insurance plans, and have for years. My previous dentist never had a problem billing both plans. I got treatment in September and now it is December and I am still waiting for refund of my pre-paid expenses (which my previous dentist never asked for but I was happy to pay because it was an expensive treatment). Karen the office manager was initially helpful but after repeated emails and calls she has completely stopped communicating. I've also called my insurance companies to help move things along but there are certain things...like sending them the bill I just can't do. Also, on one visit there was a very inexperienced woman doing my x-rays, she tried four times before asking for help. Usually I wouldn't have an issue with someone training on me but I was in pain and it should have been obvious that she needed to ask for help sooner.

I absolutely love this place! They take such good care of me, and keep me calm whiling having work done on my mouth and they bought me Starbucks after being numb so long. Had my windsom teeth taken out there, and they took care my anxiety so well and they knocked me out before I even knew it and was awake! Whenever I need to see my dentist they always schedule an appointment for me right away that day. I definitely recommend this place they are so friendly, and you're in the best hands.

I like that the office is so easy to book with. You can do it online, over the phone, or just walk in - in person. Which is why I liked it compared to my other dentist from before. But after my first visit I felt like I was a sales quota that they had to hit and instead of walking me through my price options and explaining it to me in a relatable way I was pushed and pushed by 3 separate people to try their laser cleaning. There wasn't a thorough explanation of how this differs from other practices. And after talking to my friend there isn't other practical data of that being more of a benefit beyond just making sure you're practicing proper hygiene. The dentist actually agreed that it would be fine. But I felt instead of developing a treatment plan about my needs they were trying to find what ways they could pitch me a cleaning product, Invisalign, a whitening service. All that's not covered by insurance. I think in this day and age you're allowed to say no to medical people selling you a product and you're better off going back to a dentist you actually feel comfortable with rather.

I would highly recommend this office. As a nervous patient I appreciated how friendly and patient both Dr. Mattson and Alex my hygienist were. I will definitely be returning and with the rest of my family! So happy we finally found our family dentist!
