I had trepidation about my appointment, because there had been a long lapse in my dental care, and I had previous negative dental experiences elsewhere. I was blown away by the pleasant, efficient, and COVID-conscious care I received. The receptionists were attentive and friendly, and my hygienist was a gem--she was not only personable, but very skilled and knowledgeable. She is definitely an asset to this practice with a bright future. I only saw the dentist briefly, since this was a routine new patient appointment/cleaning, but he had a good bedside manner, and I feel confident that my dental health is in good hands.

TLDR: Good hygienists, but suspicious business practices.
On one hand, the hygienists at ADCC are top-notch and professional, and Dr. Kwon is a very competent dentist. I have had two cleanings at ADCC over the past year, and both were easy and convenient.
However, the administrative practices of ADCC are questionable at best, unethical at worst. I found that the service at ADCC makes no effort to go beyond the absolute minimum of customer service. Problems I encountered in my dealings with ADCC include...
1. At my first appointment, ADCC did not conduct the standard pre-authorization to ensure that a full-mouth X-ray would be covered by my insurance. Later, they explained themselves by first saying it was my responsibility to know my insurance better, and next by saying that a $150 X-ray is not expensive enough to be worth their time to pre-authorize.
2. Before my first appointment, they made no effort to obtain dental records from the previous dentists I have visited. Without those records, they conducted the full-mouth X-ray despite it being only a couple of years since my last one. ADCC will not take time to inform you of coverage, insurance, or records considerations.
3. The outstanding $150 X-ray bill (that I had any idea existed) was apparently totally neglected for eight months; ADCC sent me no bill notifications via mail, email, or telephone until after my next appointment, when I asked about any outstanding paperwork I needed to do. Frankly, it astonishes me that ADCC seems unable to conduct this most basic of administrative functions and seems like they were unaware of the bill entirely.
4. Two weeks after I and ADCC discovered the $150 bill, while I was emailing them and my insurance to understand it and prepare to pay it, I received a threatening letter from a debt collection agency demanding payment of the "overdue bill". It seems as if ADCC had asked the debt collection agency to pursue my bill, without telling me in the many emails we exchanged in that time.
5. After I emailed Dr. Kwon to complain about the negative administrative practices at ADCC, he got me in contact with the office manager, whose response email was belittling. In short, they said that I was overreacting and that I should just pay the bill, failing to mention that they somehow forgot about the bill for eight months. They made excuses for their borderline underhanded practices, suggesting that I should be more on-guard against them.
ADCC does not go above the bare minimum to help its patients navigate the complicated world of American insurance. They have practices that seem designed to leech you of money unexpectedly and are quick to call up debt collection to cover up their mistakes. While their practices might not be illegal, they border on subterfuge and strong-arming.
I am just sorry that the quality dental care by the hygienists is overshadowed by these poor practices.

This was our first visit to Advanced Dentistry since the new staff and Doctor have arrived and they exceeded our expectations. Our new hygienist Natalie was very professional, kind and informative. We have been a patient in this location for many years sometimes flying over 6,000 miles to get treatment and the new doctor, Dr. Kwon was personable, knowledgeable and thorough. We were very happy with our visit and will continue as patients in the future.

All around great experience from reception to the care provided. I showed up desperate for a teeth cleaning before graduation because I had three years of built-up stains. Kristen the hygienist was so personable, did an amazing job, and really took her time going above and beyond. I could not recommend this place enough.

I am highly impressed and I wish I could leave more than 5 stars. I have been here a number of times now and each time it is, hands-down, the best dental care experience I have had in years. The staff are polite, friendly, and highly skilled - plus they are keen on taking appropriate COVID-19 precautions to always keep them and their patients safe. They are prompt and effective, but won't make you feel like some passenger on a conveyor belt, either. If you're curious, they will also explain every step of their process. (Useful tip: when you book an appointment, ask to be placed on Kristen's schedule. Thank me later)

Great visit on Thursday at Advanced Dentistry! Natalie is great and explained everything before she did anything. The little dental bridge which held my mouth open while cleaning was very helpful! Dr Kwon was great, too!

Natalie and Dr. Kwon were both incredibly friendly and explained the diagnosis & future plans in much detail. They also support foster care animal adoption. Ticked all the boxes for me.

Very good experience! Everyone was kind, efficient and helpful. And no 'extra' procedures suggested! Also easy to schedule an appointment on line and to receive an automated calendar confirmation of my next appointment.

After a previous dentist botched a filling (twice) such that I caught food after every single meal (trashing my gums), I came to Advanced Dentistry for a re-do. It was a tricky spot and it continued to catch a little, so I came back in expecting to have to fight about it. Instead, Dr. Kwon agreed that it simply wasn't good enough, so they redid it AGAIN at no cost and it was immediately perfect--and six months on I'm still thrilled. Thank you Dr. Kwon!
