Wilson & Patel Dental Care

I feel as though I've been with this dentist for a 1000 years, however I'm only 51 years old, so I think it's actually been like 16 or 17 years. When I say I love these people, it's exactly that. Dr. Wilson erased my fears of going to the dentist. Doctor Wilson has never, ever hurt me. Her shots don't hurt and she has the best bedside manner I've ever experienced. It feels so good to know they care about me personally. Oh, and did I mention....her dental work is impeccable! I try to refer everyone to Wilson Dental care.

I called just this morning, needing a tooth fixed quickly. Even though they were fully booked, they took down my information and called me back quickly. They were able to squeeze me in. My situation was handed extremely professionally from intake to treatment. Thank you to everyone who helped me out today!

I have been blessed to have Dr. Charlyn Wilson and her exceptional staff ( hey Lisa!) as my dental services provider at least 15-20 years. She has cared for me with the regular stuff as well as when I needed help on a weekend and yes, once on a holiday. She never settles for less than her best work and mentors by example the level of quality that is expected and acceptable for everyone. AND the office and staff are always positive, smiling and they find a way to make dental work a good time! They are the best and no way would I see anyone else-- if you dont have a dentist , I highly recommend you try Dr.Wilson, you will be very satisfied and pleased to be part of her patient family 👪 👍❤.

The care and attention given by each Wilson Dental Care staff member was above and beyond all expectations. Everyone was kind, empathetic and genuine. I felt heard by each staff member and definitely walked away thankful that a friend had recommended Wilson!!

My son first appointment and I loved the entire experience! From the time I scheduled my appointment (Hey Rudy) to the much needed information I received from Dr. Wilson after his cleaning, I feel we are prepared & well informed in maintaining healthy oral care!! So impressed that my whole family will be transitioning to this practice for our future dental care needs!!

I long thought about writing this review. Initially i wanted to give this office a 3-star rating which after today's experience downgraded to a 1-star after an unreasonable aggressive collection attempt for somebody who always pays on time.

To give a structured opinion I am going to separate it in 4 incidences:

Incident #1
I walked in and was told that i need crowns on almost all my teeth and Dr. Wilson was pushing really hard for me to get Invisaligners. So far so good and I believed her since she's the expert. Before i was able to ask any questions Dr. Wilson disappeared and i was given a referral to Saddle Creek Ortho. After asking her assistants on what i need to do better they didn't really know how to answer me either. Patient Doctor relationship? Isn't it one of the most important things that a patient understands what's going on?

At the Orthodontist the doctor did agree that I needed Invisaligners and gave me a quote. Coming back to Dr. Wilson's office expecting discussing the Ortho's opinion, I got one of her other Doctors which I believe either runs the facility with her or is employed by her. She looked at me and my mouth and said that all she thinks i need is a Nightguard. That inconsistency did trigger me to look into the possibility on why Dr. Wilson's practice has a solid 5 star rating and why she is pushing so hard for positive reviews. It looks like that the owner of Saddle Creek Ortho (the ortho i was "referred" to) coincidentally runs a Google marketing company as well. Coincidence? I don't know.

Incident #2
Because of the findings above, I was advised that due to my situation i need a nightguard. So far so good. They took the prints and sent it to the company which makes the night guard. Turns out Wilson Dental didn't take good prints so i had to come in a 2nd time for them to take prints again. They told me to come in at a specific date to pick up the night guard. After confirming it the day before i walked in and -surprise- the nightguard wasn't there. So i had to come in a 4th time in order to pick my night guard up. In this case they did give me a 50% discount so i can't complain. If it were for this incident only i would have never written a review.

Incident #3
I was told that i have a cavity after doing my cleanups and checkups on an almost consistent schedule. The doctor's office scheduled me an appointment to fill this cavity around 2 months later. Asking the front desk and the doctor if that's not a concern they answered me that it was fine.

Walking in 2 months later, they clean out the cavity and realize all the sudden that i need a crown and that i have to get it "today" because they can't leave it that way.

Leaving me no other choice i got what i had to get at this point and get a crown. My first one ever.

Let's group together... It went from a healthy tooth to a tooth which needed a crown i believe 8 months after being told 2 months ago that it isn't severe because the doctor's office overschedules themselves so bad putting profits over patients in my opinion.

Incident #4 (and the reason i finally decided to leave a review)
I received a letter (the first one from their office ever) that i am 60 days behind my payment (and trust me guys there's one thing my person does religiously: Paying bills whenever they are due). There were $20 due out of a $648 payment. The Statement Date was 06/05/2021 and arrived on 06/15/2021 with a due date of 06/20/2021 and it already incurred finance charges.

Wow, what an aggressive collection practice for the first contact! Was always on time.

Asking the front desk on why the office was so aggressive towards not only a patient in good standing with the office but also them not having their paperwork together.... they blamed it on their system. After asking that isn't it them who are in charge of the system, they blamed it on the customer (which is me).

Summary:
Somebody who want's to claim to be Memphis's best dentist, I have at best received "standard of care". I believe that any other doctor's office has their act together better.

I cannot express enough how special Wilson Dental Office makes you feel. They are all so friendly as well as professional. I was so comfortable. I couldn’t believe I was sitting in a message chair at a dentist office. I was even offered a blanket if I was cold. The hygienist was so gentle cleaning my teeth. The office has state of the art equipment. Dr. Wilson is a perfectionist and wants to do the best to please you. Her assistant was amazing. If you need a great dentist, I highly recommend this office.

Extremely caring and professional. Everyone was very helpful and put me at ease during the visit. A.J. was especially helpful and informative about the process and Dr. Wilson was very helpful with giving advice about future dental care. I would recommend Wilson Dental Care to anyone, anywhere!

I have pretty severe dental anxiety, to the point where I avoid dental work, even cleanings, particularly while under other stress (pregnant, nursing, etc). I have been to several different dentists trying to find the right fit for me (before and between pregnancies mostly). Wilson Dental Care is the best. I was well taken care of, I wasn't shamed or guilted for my remiss habits, and I was able to complete all work I needed (which was quite a bit due to my remiss habits) without severe anxiety. I have a very very small mouth and it is challenging to get x-rays and fillings done without extreme discomfort. Dr. Wilson did an amazing job with all of it, and it was the least uncomfortable I have ever been during fillings. I really can't say enough good things! The office staff and hygenists are also amazing. Thorough, prompt, kind.

Wilson dental is beyond excellent. My appointment was right on time and I didn't have to wait. Jessie was super sweet and made me feel really comfortable. Fair warning.... Just be prepared to schedule an appointment a month and a half away from when you call. Definitely worth the wait.
