Dental Health Associates - University Clinic

Dr Fard is amazing. I don't actually live in Madison anymore, but will never see another dentist. He is extremely good at what he does, and also so sweet and funny that it's a pleasure having dental work done. People have been telling me for 20+ years that I needed a tooth extracted -- a baby tooth that never had a regular tooth behind it, and was now mostly buried. The guy who pulled my wisdom teeth spent the entire time talking about how difficult it would be to extract this baby tooth, as it was mostly fused into the surrounding bone. So I kept putting it off, until I learned that Dr Fard could do it himself! While I did get the impression that it was somewhat difficult, he got the tooth out quite quickly, no discomfort at all for me, and a few hours later it's like nothing ever happened.

This was my first visit to this Dental Health Associates clinic, and it was a great experience. My dental hygienist, Rachel, was thorough, polite, professional and pleasant. Dr. Brumm was so upbeat and complimentary that I won't even mind visiting the dentist again.

We have been clients of dental health associates for over 20 years and have had Cheryl as our hygienist for the entire time. My children are adults now, but they still love Cheryl. She always made them and me feel comfortable and appreciated. She always asks how things are going and makes me feel like a person instead of someone passing through during her day.

If you grew up spending hours at the dentist praying god and all saints (literally) that they made you get out soon, you know what it means to find a dentist you actually like and trust. Well, that dentist is Dr. Fard. I highly recommend him and the whole dental office - everybody is professional and kind. I had the most recent cleanings done by Toulue and I was impressed by his care and attention.

I've been seeing Joanne and Dr. Sangalang for a couple of years now, and they've provided exemplary care since the start. They're kind, courteous, and professional. Every step of each appointment is explained clearly, and I leave feeling really good about my dental health. The parking is great - it's so nice being able to park out of the elements.

Dr. Sangalang is nice. I've only had cleanings here. Only issue is the front desk staff seem to never be happy or welcoming. Unfortunately after 3 visits (1.5 years), I'm going to have to switch dentists just because it leaves such a sour experience when you have to see unpleasant people when you arrive and when you leave.

I've never been a big fan of dentist appointments, but this office has calmed down some of my fears. They're easy to schedule with and everyone at the front desk is warm and welcoming. Dr. Sangalang is great. I really appreciate his more conservative approach on watching spots that may need a filling. He's also the best at delivering the local anesthetic. For someone really sensitive to needles, I breathe a little easier now when I need it done because of his skill.

Super friendly people, speedy & painless cleanings. Dr. Fard is great, he has a “watch and wait” attitude that I really appreciate rather than being pushy with fillings/treatments, etc. Definitely recommend.

Dr. Fard and Rachel were great today. This is a new dental practice for us and our whole family (two adults and two kids) are very happy so far! Rachel's technique is excellent - gentle but thorough. Dr. Fard is kind, anticipates questions, is thorough and doesn't rush to do things unnecessarily. This is hard to find in a dentist. We'll be back.

I will not go back to University Clinic. Dr Schuler seemed disinterested and only cared about the billing. The hygienist took 6 X-rays after I told her I had a panoramic X-ray done at a specialist 3 no ago. Dentist did not look at the X-rays, barely looked at my teeth. I asked about a sore tooth and he said he had no idea … but spotted a crown that has a piece broken off and said I should have it replaced…. By him. I only found out when I arrived for the cleaning that he would see me today. I have family members who warned me off him… after the appt when I was telling them of my bad experience. Another family member had Dr Blum fill the wrong tooth when she went in for a filling. Can’t stress this enough: go to a different clinic or you could get stuck with these incompetent, uncaring dentists who are just looking for high billing to your ins.

I can highly recommend Dr Aldrin Sangalang at DHA South clinic. I used to see him when he was at DHA University clinic. I resisted going out to Fitchburg, so tried DHA University clinic one last time. Never again.
