Jay R. Lopez, DDS, PC

Dr. Lopez is an overall genuine dentist. His first concern is about you and what you want, not what he can sell you. He is friendly and professional and even during my procedure he was very clear of what he was doing and what to expect. All of his staff are very friendly, polite, and accommodating. I have enjoyed the small amount of work I've had done so far, and plan to be back. I would recommend to a friend

Alright guy's. Fair warning; I am about to write a novel. If you ever need dental work done and are looking do not go to J R Lopez on Tanque Verde. I thought he was a great choice at first. All of his reviews online are amazing. I called the office, explained my situation to the receptionist and they were so helpful and sweet. It made me feel confident going in there. My consultation came around on 01/04/2021, again the receptionist was phenomenal. I went into the back and met the dentist's assistant who did most of the talking with me. She seemed really understanding, we went through all of my medical problems, concerns, ect. I was VERY honest. Then J R Lopez came in. It was a brief introduction. Then, without explaining anything he asked me if I had any questions. Without an explanation of the basics I really had no idea of what to ask, so I didn't get much out of the conversation. I did deeply express my concern and phobia with him. He stated it was not a problem at all. I asked him twice if he was sure he would work on me. Both times he said yes. So I leave, feeling a bit uncomfortable with the lack of information. The only thing he wanted to give me was Ibuprofen and Tylenol. So the next day 01/05/2021 $1334 was charged to my credit card. We scheduled the removal for today, 01/14/2021. I go in, very nervous. Especially because I was advised they would not give me pain medication for recovery. The only pain medication they did give me was to be taken at midnight the night before the surgery. Which makes no sense to me, thats 8 hours before my appointment, at that point the medication would have worn off. So why was it prescribed and advised to be taken like that in the first place? There just wasn't much information given. There wasn't much consideration behind me as a patient. So they bring me back (anyone who knows me knows I have really bad anxiety) and naturally I cry a bit because I'm scared and nervous. Then J R Lopez comes in and tells me he refuses to work on me due to my crying. I asked him multiple times during my consultation if he was 100% sure he would work on me. Then, after being in the room for less then 10 minutes I was told I needed to be referred elsewhere. After speaking to my referral, he advised me I needed to take something 30 minutes before my appointment for my anxiety, I needed antibiotics to avoid infection and I most definitely needed pain medication for recovery. All in all this was a horrible, time wasting, money draining experience and I sincerely hope they refund me my money since no services were provided.

I had a great experience in this office. Everyone working in the office is very friendly and professional, a rare combination these days. I suffer from a constant migraine so the bright lights are awful for me so I tend to procrastinate going for checkups. Dr Lopez was kind and understanding as was all his staff. I was put at ease by their easy manner and thorough (very) exam. I am actually looking forward to my next visit.

I have been obtaining dental services from the Aspen Dental Clinic location even before Dr. Lopez purchased the practice. I had been using a dental clinic recommended by my insurance company and was grossly disappointed. The clinic was based more on volume than quality so appointments were never honored. The clinic was noisy and operated under a "herd" mentality.
I chose the Aspen Dental Clinic because its previous dentist came highly recommended , its location was convenient, and it was NOT in the covered network of my insurance plan. I made a great choice because the office was serene, the dental staff was friendly and competent, and the dentist was pleasant, knowledgeable, and current with the latest dental research and techniques. When Dr. Smith decided to return to graduate school for advanced surgical training, he decided to sell his practice but only to another dentist who could provide the level of care and expertise that his dental patients expected. That dentist was Dr. Lopez and I have been with him and his staff ever since. Dr. Lopez only uses the best dental labs for his crowns as many labs now reside overseas and offer cheaper prices but less quality. I highly recommend Aspen Dental Clinic as a provider of exceptional dental care.

I've been a patient of Dr. Lopez for 14 years now. Every experience at his office has been a positive one. His staff is absolutely top notch and treat patients with care and professionalism. I highly recommend Dr. Lopez for anyone looking for a truly dedicated, highly skilled, and patient-oriented dentist. The entire team at Dr. Lopez' office is A+, and that really matters when it comes to choosing a medical/dental provider.

If you're terrified of dentists in general and need someone who is kind, compassionate and understands the frustration and pain of dental issues, then make an appointment with Dr. Lopez. He has been gentle, understanding, kind and compassionate. Dr. Lopez went over and beyond what even I expected, to help alleviate a painful situation that I endured after hours. He spent time with me explaining everything in detail. He listened to my concerns and addressed them promptly. I highly recommend Dr. Lopez. His staff is also wonderful, trying always to make the scheduling process less complicated. Dr. Lopez and staff have definitely earned my trust!

I have had two tough and painful 'Deep Cleaning' in the past ten years, so I was hesitant to see another Dentist. I was drawn to Dr. Lopez due to the type of sedation he advertised. He recommended 'Deep Cleaning' and we scheduled this procedure.
The staff at his office answered all questions and made me comfortable.
Kelly did the 'Deep Cleaning', and I highly recommend her.
Her in mouth needle work was terrific.

The staff are very friendly, as well as professional. They do now have a full time dental hygienist, who is very nice. Dr. Lopez is also very respectable as well as informative. I've been going to him for work for years and don't plan on changing dentists anytime soon.

I made an appointment with Dr. Lopez when I found that the only Endodontist in my town did not accept my insurance. Even though I had a 140 mile round trip to his office, I found the experience worthwhile. Dr. Lopez was very professional and caring. I was impressed with Bethany, his assistant and with all those in his office.

I have been terrified of the dentist for much of my life. I made the mistake of putting it off for far longer than I should have. I found Dr. Lopez and his staff and I'm glad I did!! They are beyond amazing!! Bethany who seems to wear many hats around the office is fantastic. The lady working the check in desk is very kind. Kelly worked on my teeth today and will again in a few days. She is AMAZING, with a gentle hand, and a good heart. She knew I was terrified coming in, and she was patient with me. She was more worried about me, than I was about myself lol. The staff makes you feel safe and taken care of. They make you feel like you are heard when you voice your fears. If you are looking for a staff with a kind heart and a staff that cares, go see Dr. Lopez and his team. You wont regret it!! I will certainly never go to another dentist ever again!
