Mid Wilshire Dentistry

I have been going to Mid Wilshire Dental since 1992 and found them through my husband’s employer at the time, the Los Angeles Clippers, as they are the official dental practice serving that team. I have found them to be a reliable source of all my dental needs. I have gotten cleanings, fillings, crowns, Invisalign, an implant and root canals over the years as well as had my TMJ cured (alone with a chiropractor) through a splint Dr. Laska made for me. Drs. Mark Laska, Esther Abraham and Jeremy Chen have all been very skilled as well as caring with their treatments that I travel a bit of a distance to go there. Dr. Darren Smolken did the fastest, least painful and effective root canal of all time; I have referred him whenever anyone asks if I know of a good endodontist. Equally skilled is his best friend Dr. Daniel Teboul, periodontist, who also did an amazing implant for me and gave me a shot in the upper palate area that didn’t hurt like I thought it would. He explained the process of how he did that which was fascinating. The staff there are friendly and helpful from billing, front desk, hygienists, dental assistants to technicians and I feel like family as many greet me by name upon entering. That’s perhaps why I drive a distance and don’t switch to a more local dentist. They hold my whole dental history for the past 30 years!

Stumbled upon this office thru a service (who knew this was the official Clippers office to get their work done, nice!). Although we could not squeeze me in for last minute cleaning, I was able to do a quick exam on my teeth and mentioned my crowns were in good condition, nothing wrong with them (unlike the previous office I visited earlier this year) I can confidently say I have found a great office to come back to for a future cleaning.

Had to wait over an hour to be seen but once I was My exam was painless and fast. I was Told by another dentist I needed a root canal and turns out the dentist was wrong! Great to now have an honest dentist.

I had a great experience with Glenn the technician and the whole Mid Wilshire Dentistry team is professional and thorough. It's by far the best dental office I've been to in the last 20 years in Los Angeles. Highly recommend Dr. Laska and his team.

I had a 5pm appointment on 11/18/21 to check my gums after my wisdom teeth extraction surgery. I arrived at 5:10pm because of traffic but was seated immediately by a relatively young looking male assistant. I sat in my chair waiting for the dentist doing absolutely nothing until a dentist was ready for me at around 5:50pm. I complained to her and she told me she had no idea that happened because someone falsely told her that I was getting a cleaning done during the time I was waiting. The assistant who seated me was the same assistant who helped my dentist check my teeth and he KNEW I was not getting a cleaning done and was sitting there doing absolutely nothing. He didn’t bother telling her (and probably noone) that a patient was waiting for 40 minutes on a dental chair for a 5pm appointment. So I left a bit after 6pm for service that only took ~20minutes thanks to the incompetency of 2 people… the assistant was also digging the saliva ejector into my gums so I had to physically push his hand away. this experience alone was enough to make me highly consider making this trip my last trip to this dentistry. I’m still deciding.

Dr. Laska and his staff are the best. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a dentist that would actually care about your health and not only your money from your insurance to pay.

I highly recommend mid Wilshire Dentistry. The technicians the hygienists and the doctors are all friendly, will take the time to explain everything and do a great job. I just got a crown a few days ago and it was quick requiring no Novacaine. Best of all it has the perfect spacing for flossing (I am somewhat an expert because I have 45 years with many dentists and I have many fillings, crowns, a couple of root canals and an implant - it’s genetic).

I’ve never had to wait very long after my appointment time to begin receiving treatment.

This is a great place where a team of dentists take care of you. My visits are always pleasant.
