I have been going here for 3-4 years for routine care. A tooth was bothering me and I let them know several times but they could not find a problem. Two years later, they found the cavity and filled it. It was still bothering me, so I went back and they filled it again, and charged me again. Still bothering, so they put a crown on it. Now, $2,000 later, I have to get a root canal that is going to be another $1,000.
I feel like having regular dental visits with them should have prevented any of this from going so far. I think it's why people, especially people without insurance, pay so much for routine care. That being said, the office and the dentists are nice.

I give them a 5 star because everyone in the office is always friendly, cheerful, knowledgeable and the staff are great! The office is comfortable and inviting. I feel comfortable with Dr. Sumner, he is gentle, caring, always making sure I am not having any pain. He even calls me later on that day to make sure I'm doing ok. He is top notch!!

Great dental office, very clean and professional. The staff are amazing and the dentists are excellent!! Totally worth the drive from Chico! The dreaded numbing shot was COMPLETELY PAINLESS thanks to Dr. Somner. :)

When I first came to Dr.Parrots office I had a broken ugly smile that I was ashamed of but the team at Oroville Gentle Dentistry transformed into a perfect beautiful smile one that I am proud to show off one that I love. Gentle dentistry is exactly what I experienced through the whole transformation no pain whatsoever I couldn’t even feel the shots to get numb. Great staff as well very professional very polite. If you have a fear of the dentist, take my advice: schedule your cleanings with Trista and your work with Dr. Gary Sumner. I had to have a root canal done. I was super nervous but it was the best procedure I’ve ever had done! It was easy, painless, and tasteless. Dr. Sumner is the absolute best. Don’t let your fear keep you from getting the care you deserve. Go see Dr. Sumner; you won’t be sorry.

I had a very painful abscessed tooth. Called Oroville gentle Dentestry and scheduled an appointment during the covid shutdown. They were exceptionally friendly and informative. They had a cancellation and offered me an earlier appointment. When I got there the staff was nothing short of very friendly, professional, and very thorough. The Dentist himself was amazing. Very personable and genuinely concerned about my dental issue. I’ve never had a less painful shot nor series or extraction in my life. I recommend this office 100%!
