Beyond Exceptional Dentistry

After researching numerous dental practices we decided to use Dr. Durham for our son's dental needs. After his first treatment we noticed he was smiling and laughing more and his confidence has grown in leaps and bounds. I highly recommend Dr. Durham and his staff. They are very courteous, friendly and they really do treat you like family! Dr. Reeves, the specialist who designed my son's dental makeover, has been absolutely amazing. My son is now in the final stages of his smile makeover and as a mom, it's so satisfying to see the changes that a beautiful smile can make! Thank you Dr. Reeves, Stormy, Brie, and Christy who have been with Christopher every step on his journey to a beautiful smile!

From the time I walked through the doors, until the time I left I experienced nothing short of spectacular. The entire staff have a way of making everyone feel cared for, important, and extremely comfortable. I live in Canada and my dentist is in Savannah so that ought to be an indication as to the quality of care that this establishment offers. Dr. Durham’s work is truly remarkable and exceeds what you would expect to find in a major metropolitan city like LA or New York. The Lowcountry is lucky to have such expertise and cutting edge dentistry!! The entire staff is both professional and so friendly, making any time in the office a pleasure. Dr. Durham’s dedication to perfection ensures the very best result possible.

Truth be told I've never had real front teeth. I was the young woman whose front teeth got knocked out in 9th grade (thanks to a soccer ball) so you might say I was an early adopter to cosmetic dentistry. Over time the techniques and materials for improving one's smile and/or bite became very sophisticated and when it was time to recalibrate my smile for a new era I chose Dr. Durham by referral of another patient. That was 2003 and here we are in 2018 and we're still rocking it together to keep my teeth in tip-top shape. The practice has grown into Beyond Exceptional Dentistry with the addition of several superbly skilled dentists (I'm a patient of Dr. Strickland now) and very customer service centered dental techs since I began my relationship with them as a patient. What remains true across time with this practice, is that YOU (the patient) matter ~ both in terms of your teeth and your goals. I would not consider myself a high end client of the practice, I had modest goals. They respected my journey every step of the way. I have one hell of a smile and it's because they care to get it right starting the minute I walk in the door to when I schedule my next cleaning. Start here and you'll stay thereafter across time.

I am really enjoying the process of getting new dentures here at Beyond Exceptional Denistry with Dr. Strickland and his wonderful staff. Today I tried on my prototype dentures and we will have my real ones in two weeks.
Here is my story and what lead me to Dr Strickland:
I have been wearing dentures since 1994. In 2008 I went to another dentist for my second set. But sadly my experience was painful both physically and emotionally. Physically because the dentures did not fit properly and it was difficult to even open my mouth without experiencing pain in my jaw, and eating was near impossible. Emotionally because I didn’t recognize my own reflection in the mirror. The teeth looked large and unnatural and bore no resemblance to my original smile or my original dentures.
I eventually went back to wearing my old original dentures. The thought of going back for yet another pair made me very apprehensive.
I have a good friend who is a retired dental technician. I asked her if she knew of anyone she would recommend in Savannah? She said “You need to check out Dr Strickland he has the very good reputation among other dentists, and a state of the art way of making dentures.” So I filed that away in my mind for future reference.
Then one day not long ago I saw his commercial on tv and I was struck by the little things they did to make thier patients comfortable. I also looked at several YouTube video testimonials. My husband urged me to make an appointment and see what the office was like for myself.
From my first appointment onward, Dr Strickland and his staff have exceeded my expectations, at every turn. They all have a genuineness and real willingness to want to help and to make the quality of my life better.
And there was no scolding , no guilting, no pressure. Only kindness and understanding. They seem to take a real true satisfaction in making my experience as positive as possible.
When I tried on the prototypes I couldn’t believe my eyes. It was the smile I always wished I could have had!

The day I walked into Exceptional Dentistry I needed help and I wanted a perfectionist. I had new dentures from another dentist which were giving me much pain and didn't fit well at all. Within 2 days I met with the staff and Dr. Strickland. He gave me an outline of exactly what could be done and we agreed to start the process of 8 implants and new dentures. It was a painless procedure. The healing process for the implants took 4 months and now I have my new dentures and they fit and feel really well. I can now eat anything I want and they stay tightly in place. They look great and I find myself always smiling and in my mind I know I found the perfectionist I was looking for. I have been coming to his office for 5 years and originally started for cosmetic work. I have continued because of the level of trust I have for this office with my care. I have been to offices in the past that it feels as if they’re trying to “sell” you services or pressure you into procedures that you don’t know if they’re entirely necessary. I’ve never felt anything but confident and comfortable in this office. The staff are nothing less than amazing and while there are other offices well closer to my house, I don’t feel like I’m going out of my way because of the value of their service.

My experience at Beyond Exceptional Dentistry was truly amazing. As a lifelong sufferer of dentistphobia, (a real condition I'm certain!), I was so very happy with the care and concern each member of the staff had for me; I felt as if I was visiting friends or family instead of the dreaded dentist. It's impossible to single any member of the team out to praise as they ALL are definitely BEYOND EXCEPTIONAL!!! When I first came to Beyond Exceptional, I was so nervous to come in. I knew I had to do something, but I was so embarrassed to go anywhere. I loved the fact that they didn’t make me feel bad or embarrassed when seeing me. The relationships you make here with the staff and doctors are unlike anything else. That has truly been my favorite part of this whole experience. I would recommend anyone to come to Beyond Exceptional Dentistry!

I came in originally with severe tmj pain and felt that I was going to have to be on pain medication for the rest of my life. Couldn’t sleep well, ate soft foods, had my jaw clicking and going out of joint on a regular basis. The pain had altered my life, and it was hard to be joyful.
Dr. Durham did an amazing job and I now have the great smile with no pain at all! My joy is back and my smile is big!
