I would recommend Doc to EVERYONE! I am from out of state and had a severe toothache while in Charleston. Not only did Doc get me in ASAP, he immediately got me out of pain. He also went above and beyond to ensure that I would be out of the pain and be able to enjoy my visit for the day and eat dinner pain free! The entire office staff was extremely caring and truly concerned for the patient! I am beyond words how much I appreciate every person who helped relieve my severe pain!

We love our dentist! Very grateful to Dr. Oh for being a stand up professional. We have been to other dentists that fill baby teeth cavities when Dr. Oh will just allow them to fall out as long as they aren’t bothering them! This mama is very thankful for that as it saves me money!! And they are friendly and make you feel so comfortable!

Unless you have unlimited disposable income to throw at oral procedures that may or may not be necessary, I would avoid this office. I went in yesterday for a basic cleaning, and was told I had 16 cavities that needed filled ASAP as well as expensive deep gum cleaning and treatment. I was shown my x-rays and after pointing out one obvious cavity (that I was aware of going into the appointment due to tooth pain in that area), they vaguely referred to one or two other areas that had cavities. Then they proceeded to name all of the fillings I would need while working on my chart. I wasn’t shown the specific x-rays for each of those. Then they charted my gums, and I was told I had moderate to advanced gum disease, which was obviously terrifying. The dentist and hygienist left the room (which was very open, not private at all) and someone different came back with a massive list of charges for the treatment plan they were proposing. I started crying on the spot, with no idea how I could afford all of this. Any semblance of bedside manner disappeared in that instant, and I felt pressured to immediately agree to something I didn’t understand and couldn’t afford. The woman then said I could make payments and kept asking how much I could put down, without giving me an ounce of understanding or any sort of timeline of how this would all take place. She told me the bill was so high because the antibiotic for the gum treatment isn’t covered by insurance. Dejected and worried, I asked to see the bill without the antibiotic. The new total was still expensive, but figure-outable. I wasn’t given an opportunity to think about it, though. She immediately resumed pressuring me to schedule and asking how much I could put down. At this point, I’m near a panic attack, so I ask if I could just get the basic cleaning today or whatever cleaning is covered by my insurance. The woman made me sign an intimidating form saying I was refusing care for my moderate to advanced gum disease and would not be holding them liable. I fought a panic attack and tears all throughout the cleaning. After it was over, I went to the desk to confirm I understood what they were saying my total would be with all of these treatments. I confirmed with the hygienist how many fillings they said I needed. I asked for a copy of the treatment plan pricing and left. Then I started my research. My experience fits nearly all of the red flags for a predatory dental practice. I’ve had many friends reach out with similar experiences. I’m so frustrated and angry but feel fortunate that I did not fall into their trap, and I hope this review can help others do the same. Ask around before choosing a dentist, and go with your gut when something feels off.

Most happy visit ever! The lady who did all my X-rays and cleaned my teeth was so joyful and the doctor was so enthusiastic and you could tell they both really cared about me and loved their job!

I have been scared to death of the dentists since I was a lot younger. Let me tell you that these folks are so calming and amazing that all my fears vanished! As soon as you walk in it starts, it’s like they have known you for a lifetime and work to make you as comfortable as possible.

My Charleston Dentist is an excellent dental care provider. I have been a patient at this clinic for many years. Dr Ho & his staff are professionals who quickly and efficiently get the job done while taking great care of my dental health. Would definitely recommend.
