From the moment I walked into Aspen dental in machesney park I was amazed how friendly and professional Libby was while taking my X-rays and getting things ready.
Dr Patel was SOO NICE, and explained everything needed to be done, without judgement or ridicule.
Rachel the office manager went Above and beyond to make sure that I was getting Exactly what I wanted and that it wouldn’t bankrupt me.
I’m on the way to a New, Beautiful smile and I’m SOOO EXCITED!!!! THANKYOU Libby, Rachel and Dr Patel for being so welcoming and making me feel right at home. You’ve won a patient for life!!!!

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone and if you see this review RUN AWAY frome here and don't give them any of your money... This place only cares about your money not about you they would rather leave a customer in pain then actually help them if you can't afford there outrageous dental treatment plans.. I went in because I had a broken tooth and was in a lot of pain I called ahead of time to find out how much a simple tooth extraction would cost since currently i dont have insurance and i made that clear upfront that i would be paying out of pocket and was told less then $200 for a simple extraction so I made an appointment to have an exam done and get that tooth extracted after seeing the Dr I was told I needed every single one of my back teeth pulled for over $2k and that didn't include anything to replace all the missing teeth when I asked if we could just pull the broken tooth i was told that I either get half of my back teeth pulled or nothing at all and when looking at the treatment plan every tooth was priced out to be over $300 per tooth so much for less then $200 for an extraction of 1 tooth.. To sum this up don't give this place any of your money..

This dentist made me feel played like a fiddle. I wish I had made an effort to get a second opinion before I submitted to almost $1k of services. The doctor suggested having three teeth pulled, addressing gum infection, prescription toothpaste, and prescription mouthwash. Instead of handling the full $3k of services, they performed deep teeth cleaning.

I did go to another dentist to see if my three teeth needed to be pulled. Using the x-rays provided from the crook, the new doctor didn’t see the necessity for anything being removed or the prescription products. He also doesn’t believe the deep cleaning ever occurred. No anesthetic was applied, I would have been in a lot of pain while the cleaning. The deep cleaning oddly took the same amount of time as a regular cleaning would. What did I pay for? I think you should go somewhere else so that way you don’t have to get a second opinion for the laundry list of services they want you to pay for.

Aspen Dental (Machesney Park) has the BEST oral hygienist I've ever had.

I came in to have a cleaning and a filling, and to be honest, I was fairly nervous about the entire experience. But, my concerns were quickly settled. Doctor Patel was very professional and efficient, and he made sure I was very comfortable throughout the entire procedure. My dental assistants Selma and Nika were also very courteous and professional. I highly recommend Aspen Dental.

I KNOW this is a long review but do yourself a favor and read it!!!

I called on Monday, September 28th for an emergency appointment for a very painful broken tooth and the first appointment I could get was Wednesday the 30th late in the afternoon. Apparently the giant "emergency appointments available" sign in the front window doesn't apply to what I (and many other people would call an emergency). I went in, had a TON of X-rays and a 3D scan that is really just for the purposes of them trying to sell you invisalign, and then the hygienist came in to pick around my teeth and tell me I needed the 'deep clean' so I wouldn't lose ALL of my teeth and to clean out all of the bacteria that I was breathing in and ingesting...it probably would have freaked me out a bit more if I hadn't just heard her give the exact same rundown to the guy in the space next to me. When Dr Patel finally came in to see me, he looked at the issue I came in with for I would generously say 30 seconds and then he starts pushing the deep cleaning and invisalign. I told him that I knew I needed additional work but I had to take care of the broken and wobbly tooth before I could even discuss any additional work. With that he said someone would come get me in a few minutes to discuss services and costs. The woman who I sat across the desk from tells me the Dr can see me the next day at 11:45am. I had to work in the morning, but I could make it after 1:00 or anytime on Friday. The woman told me they could give me a note for work, which would be cool except no work, no pay. She then went back to talk to the Dr and he said to give me the next available appointment, which happened to be the FOLLOWING Friday. She then prints out a piece of paper that shows a total of $2,200+...it's not itemized or anything, JUST a dollar amount. When I questioned the amount she informs me that it's for the deep cleaning (which, it would seem, every single person who goes in there needs). I said "I can't afford that right now, how much to just take care of the tooth" and a new paper prints out that shows just under $800...that's to pull the tooth and do a bone graft. I ask her about if I can take some time between the tooth pull and the bone graft and she says she would have to ask the Dr, but makes absolutely no move towards going to ask him (or whoever they pretend to talk to in order to keep your costs as high as they think they can get away with) but she does tell me that she gave me a 10% discount for no insurance, and it includes the days visit...$19 initial visit. I say nope, I'll pay the $19 and then figure out how to come up with the cash and then schedule an appointment. Of course, she brings up Care Credit, I swear they must get kickbacks from them. Incidentally, I did some reading up on care credit and the bank that provides it...interesting stuff, I would recommend you look into it if you're considering care credit.

I scraped the cash together within the next day and a half but in the meantime, I'm getting more and more bothered by the hard sales push and I looked a little harder at Aspen Dental in general, and decided I definitely wanted to get a 2nd opinion. Today, 10/6 I saw another dentist who took new X-rays and spent more than 30 seconds looking at the tooth as well as the film's and she tells me that the root is pressing on my sinus cavity and I need to see an oral surgeon. She explains that there's just too much risk of puncturing the sinus cavity and it's just too dangerous to not have taken care of by a specialist. After getting home from today's appointment I decided to look at Google reviews for the Machesney Park office specifically, not just broad Aspen Dental and, believe it or not, there is a review from another person who went in for a broken tooth who ended up with a punctured sinus cavity!

Please, please, PLEASE do yourself a favor and, if you HAVE to get your dental care here, question ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING!

Dr Patel and his staff were very sweet and friendly, this was my first of many visits to fix the problems I have with my teeth and gums. Dr Patel really listened to me and is helping me finally take the steps I need to help with the pain and suffering I've had to deal with for years. I would definitely recommend them at the Machesney Park location.

Everyone was very nice and super friendly here. My dentist Dr. Patel, Dr. Manitinaos and the dental assistant karina took very well care of me for my very first experience here at aspen. I would recommend this office to all my friends and family just because of how nice they all were.

Super fast with getting me in for an appointment. I also didn't wait long to be seen at the office. However once I got to see the dentist it was a full blown up sale. I went to get a referral to get my wisdom teeth removed. they told me I needed Invisalign, but I have straight teeth!? What I needed = $1,500. What they tried to get me to spend = $11,000.

I just want to thank all the wonderful staff at Aspen Dental in Machesney Park. Dr. Patel is the best. I like how he goes over everything with you before he does anything. Everyone there treats you with respect and cares about you as a person. I'm thankful for the great experience. I would highly recommend this dental office to anyone, the best by far!!
