I recently had several teeth pulled at one time and when Dr.Patel numbed my mouth I did not feel any needles going in or any pain whatsoever during the whole procedure. Everyone so was nice from the time I walked in until the time I walked out. Selma one of the dental assistants even brought me a blanket and made sure I was warm while I was in the chair. When I was all done she walked me to the door and made sure I made it safely to my ride that was waiting for me. I would highly recommend Aspen Dental Machesney Park to anyone. Thanks Aspen Dental for my beautiful smile!

DO NOT GO HERE under any circumstances. I hadn't been to the dentist for a few years since I no longer have dental insurance. I thought Aspen would be a good idea since it was close to work, they operated after normal business hours, and would be less expensive (so I thought).
I scheduled a cleaning (I confirmed this several times with the person I made the appointment with), but when I got there I am told the first appointment is only an exam/X-rays and that I couldn't get a cleaning. Fine. So I get the exam and they end up telling me that I have 13 cavities and gum disease. All-in-all it was going to cost over $1500.00, I had to open a line of credit, sign-up for a discount program that is $10/month and they acted as if they were saving me money.
Also, they push people to give them good reviews on Google in exchange for being entered into a drawing. THEY BUY REVIEWS.
After thinking about it overnight, I decide to get a second opinion from the dentist I had been going to. Low and behold, I have no gum disease and no cavities.
This chain is crooked and they will lie to take advantage of you. I am telling anyone who will listen and will be contacting the BBB as well.

I had a new patient appt scheduled for 6:15. I did not leave until almost 8:30 pm. So much time sitting in the chair waiting for the next person to come back, or return. When my exam was finally finished I was given a couple of options re: a treatment plan. The best option was obviously the most expensive. I was taken to Rachel, the office manager. By this time I just wanted to know what it would cost and get out of there. She was interested in "selling" me the treatment plan before giving me the price. When I saw the cost I told her there was no way I could afford that. She said give her chance to go back and talk to the Doc and see what she could do. I felt like I was buying a car. Before I left she gave me her business card and said if I had any further questions to give her a call. The next day I attempted to do just that. The person answering the phone said she was with someone but she could probably help me. I gave her my questions, she put me on hold for a long time, then came back and said she gave my questions to Rachel and she would be calling me back. I have not gotten a return call. They give you a piece of paper and each person that sees you highlights their names and asks you to please go online and give them a good review and they are not shy about pushing for a 5 star review. I have no interest in going back there.

My friend went here because this was one of the main places listed "covered" in their network. After getting x-rays done and inspection/consultation they listed off numerous things that were deemed "extremely important" to get done "immediately"; they supposedly ran what they were going to do through his insurance and told him it would be over $7,000. The staff at Aspen Dental then used pressuring and scare tactics to get him to sign up for a credit card through them. I thought that was odd.. but the best part is they immediately MAXED out the credit card ($5,000 limit) and said the rest would be out of pocket. I've been going to dentist for years and I've never heard of this happening, it seemed unprofessional and I would say a borderline scam (even though what they did was legal).
He then went and got a second opinion at a well known dentist that wasn't a corporate franchise like Aspen Dental. It was a private practice. They reviewed the x-rays, the information my friend was given, and a inspection/consultation... They immediately said that Aspen Dental is known to pressure people into getting services done that aren't even necessary or required. The other dentist also gave an itemized invoice unlike Aspen Dental who just provided a total.. Turns out instead of $7,000 my friend only has to pay ~$300 out of pocket. Aspen Dental either through negligence or flat-out lying, told my friend that he needed multiple removals, he had "cracked teeth" (not true, not even close), and needed Invisalign to fix his misaligned teeth. The other dentist he went to literally laughed at what Aspen Dental said and calmed him down because he thought he was about to go into ridiculous debt. Also, they said Invisalign was deemed completely inappropriate for the situation, not necessary, and wouldn't even remotely help the situation. If I had to guess, Aspen Dental wants to push the Invisalign product to patients to bring in more money.
After talking with other people, I've come to find out that Aspen Dental scares people into applying for a credit card and MAXING it out immediately even though NO services were actually completed. Their goal is to make as much money off of you as quick as they can and provide BS information. Hooray!
The one good thing at Aspen Dental is the staff/hygienists are very friendly. No one was rude. Every other aspect outside of customer service was terrible and I will never recommend this facility to anyone for anything. It's horrifying that they get away with this with other patients.

I have been coming to see Dr. Patel here for years! He’s amazing, educational, truly does what is best for you! Not to mention, maintaining your comfort at ALL times! Joey, was just a ray of sunshine! Perfect assistant, quick, super friendly, also very explanatory on what he was doing! What an inviting experience! 🦷❤️

All the staff was friendly and accommodating, despite the enormous amount of work that needed to be done, on just MY mouth as well as on other patients. Unlike so many other places I have visited over the past many years for insurance reasons, the staff seemed to appreciate rather than resent my attempts to be a knowledgeable and involved patient, rather than just a subject to be worked on. Even though the 2 main clinicians spoke ever my head In Serbian about 1/3 of the time, it was not an issue, as my childhood dentist was a Serb, and very much the expert. There is yet more work to be done, but Have no concerns whatsieverk

They do terrible work! All of my fillings needed redone in less than 6 months and I was in more pain than when I went in. My new dentist says whoever did my teeth needs to go back to school and practice a little more. Plus They can’t get their billing problems under control. I’m in network and paid at every visit so I’d never have a balance. Somehow they billed things incorrectly and it left an outstanding balance that I had to go to the district manager to fix. Stay away from this place!

I like Dr. Patel and Korina was very nice and pleasant. I'm not sure if I need to come back next year. Please have someone follow up with me.
I'm also not sure why I was asked to go back in to pay extra for a cancer test. I declined that service.

Walked in March first for an emergency visit. Dr. Said he would take me but i would have to wait and they did not say how long. They could not give me a time of when because they were sqeezing me in. I could not stay as I had other obligations. Made an appt for 3pm March 2nd. I called to make the appt in the morning. Showed up at 3pm. They told me it was gonna be along wait. Hour to an hour and a half and i would need to wait in the waiting room. I told them this was why i called to make an appt. They Said since I didnt call their store directly , but talked to number that was listed that I would not be able to have the appt for 3pm. Waste of time and pain. Don't go here. Find a local dentist please. Not one run by a corperations. Support local doctors.
