The Dental Studio - Lake Oswego Dentist

Excellent service provided by a caring, professional team. And I have proof: 1) During a cleaning my hygienist suggested a possible solution to my near-daily headaches - a mouth guard. But knowing my budget was limited, she suggested I first try an inexpensive over the counter option to see if it might help. Since using one, my headaches have decreased by 75%. Life changing. As soon as I have the money I will most certainly be purchasing a custom-made guard from the dentist. 2) Dr. Ebel discovered an imperfection in a crown he did for me a year ago. Because his work matters and he cares about the service he provides, he asked if I'd let him redo it at no charge. It wasn't anything I would have noticed, but because he identified a flaw he just said he'd feel better if it was replaced. Number of times I've experienced this level of service before? Zero. 3) The entire staff makes a huge effort to call you by name. I walked to my car after my appointment and one of the staff members I didn't know wished me a good day - by name. Wasn't even looking at a chart. This office earns positive reviews the old fashioned way - by delivering quality service. They deserve your business.

I cracked a tooth and needed it extracted and replaced with an implant. Dr. Clauson worked with the oral surgeon for my procedure and was able to get my implant within a couple months. Dr. Clawson ensured the implant fit properly. I always receive caring and pain free treatment.

As a new patient, I expected to be put on a long waiting list for an appointment, but I was able to get in the next day! Michele at the front desk was efficient and friendly, hygienist Jess was phenomenally good at her job (gentle, very thorough, super friendly), and Dr. Jeff is the relaxed, non-pushy professional I was hoping to find in my new dentist. Also, the office, procedures and equipment are very modern. I'm so relieved to have found The Dental Studio in Lake Oswego.

Dr. Clawson, the dental technicians, and front staff are what makes each visit something to look forward to (yes indeed my husband and I both look forward to our dental checkups now!) They are kind, personable, knowledgeable, and always eager to answer our curiosities on our dental health. It's easy to see that the dental field is their passion, and we are so grateful to be patients. The studio is immaculate, and organized...not to mention zen. Dr. Clawson and his staff are an amazing group whom I am thrilled to have found for my dental care. The front desk staff are polite, efficient, and helpful in every way. The dental hygienists are knowledgeable, and personable. Lastly, Dr. Clawson exudes passion for what he does, and it shows. He is patient, thorough, and spent time going over all the things I needed to know in terms of oral care. Coming from a medical office myself, I can see how happy the staff is, and that reflects on how Dr. Clawson treats staff and patients alike. I would recommend this office to anyone looking for a truly comfortable visit every time. Also, as a side note, billing with insurance was streamlined and an easy process for both of my visits. Our family switched to the Dental Studio last year and we couldn't be happier. Unlike the nightmare billing experience we had with our last dentist, the folks here are super nice and on top of insurance coverage; they'll tell you right away what's covered and what's not so there are no surprises.

Dr. Clawson is great, too! He seems really thorough and explains everything really well. Over the years I've had other dentists that seem like they're always trying to "drill and bill," regardless if the procedures are really necessary or not. I don't get that impression with Dr. Clawson.

If I had to dock one star here, it would be because Dr. Clawson hasn't officially changed his name to Dr. Pepmeister yet. Folks, this guy runs hot; it's like he has a hidden Red Bull IV in his arm or something. All kidding aside, Dr. Clawson is super nice and has great energy.

Great Experience. Even before my appointment, I had e-mailed them my insurance information, so that was a non-issue.
The day of my appointment I walked in 5 minutes before my appointment. The receptionist asked if I was "Bill". So, already I am impressed that they anticipated me showing up and knew my first name.
As a new patient, there is a lot of paperwork, history, etc. However, it was very easy, as they had it all setup to be entered electronically on a specific computer in the lobby.
As my first time at the office, I was given a short tour.
Finally, Dr. Zehtab simply filled my broken tooth where a filling had fallen out. No numbing necessary.

Great people and a great dentist. I would indeed recommend the Dental Studio.

This is a Buyer beware review.

I had just moved to Lake O from Portland and wanted to find a dentist closer to my new home. Long story short, after my initial visit I was presented a proposal for $2.000.00 worth of dental work. A quad deep cleaning and 5 cavities. I've had 5 cavities in my entire life as a man of 48 yrs old, and I knew my teeth were no way this bad. Went back to my original dentist (second generation longtime dentist in Portland) and his diagnosis was that I needed a cleaning.

Lots of good reviews here and they are friendly and all but, I advise folks to due your diligence with the dental board and get a second opinion if you have doubts

I’ve had four appointments with The Dental Studio. So far they have been great. I have extreme anxiety but they were excellent about easing my fears even through the fairly extensive work I had done.

While I think it’s great to rate a business when things go smoothly, I think the opportunity for a business to shine is when some difficulties arise. We did run into some billing/payment issues. If I’m being honest, The Dental Studio could work on their follow-through. On multiple occasions we had to reach out to them only to be told we would get a call back. However, they never actually called back. That was disappointing. Ultimately the payment issues were resolved satisfactorily, but I do wish it didn’t require such persistence on my part.

Overall, they are great. They even got me in same-day when I had a bit of an emergency. I will continue to utilize them for all future dental work.
