iSmile at The Avenues

Terrible customer service! The issues all started when I tried to call and update my insurance with them over the phone. The 3 different people I spoke to were wildly unhelpful and rude. I was later contacted my someone named Kim because she noticed my insurance was out of date. I tried to update through her. She tried to rectify the bad service with free bleach trays but scheduled me for 9am on a Thursday— their office is not open at that time. She refuses to believe she would schedule an appointment for that time thus abandoning responsibility. I have ZERO confidence in their customer service and ZERO confidence and their reliability. This dentist is not worth anyone item. Look elsewhere!!

There are some things i really hate as an adult like taxes and picking up after pets. Finding a new dentist is also pretty high on that list. So when i moved to salt lake and needed to find a dentist i went with a recommendation from some one i know. I think i've been going here for maybe four years now and can honestly say this is one of the best offices i've ever been in. The chair.... has massagers.... MASSAGERS PEOPLE. Okay okay. I know that that is not really what you go to the dentist for but it's a nice touch and while i'm on a rant about perks they also have fresh baked and/or baking cookies in the office. (Though much to my displeasure i have had a few visits where they aren't baking cookies and i have to contain my rage. You can't dangle a cookie in front of someone one visit and not deliver the next. Jus saying)

Moving on, the staff has always been great. I maybe go to the dentist twice a year for the routine stuff. Sometimes it's a different hygienist or assistant and im not sure if thats because of their schedules or if the first has left and now theres a new one but everyone i've ever dealt with here has been really nice and most important to me, gentle. I've had some hygienists tear my mouth apart and as far as i recall that has never been my experience here. I do have one sensitive to cold and air tooth that they are really good about when i tell them.

I've only had two cavities/fillings in my life so generally i don't have much work done, last year when i was in for a cleaning they noticed a possible two more to keep an eye on but said it wasn't necessary to fill them unless they were bothering me. And since then i haven't heard another word about them. Usually i get asked if im interested in braces. I definitely need them on my bottom teeth but i have yet to make any real decision so we have a similar conversation about them every time im there.

When i first moved to utah i did not have dental insurance and so i signed up with their ismile insurance plan and it worked out just fine for my needs at the time. Ive since gotten dental insurance through my work place though.

I wont say something like "You have to go here! This will be the greatest experience of your life!" Though the cookies and massagers have me rethinking. But as far as im concerned the office staff and treatment is really great and i've since recommended all my friends and family in the area to go here.

Great experience. People are very gentle and help me to not feel pain. That is very important to me as my last dentist didn’t try to make me comfortable. I now feel very safe when I go for my cleanings.

These guys are awesome! I have a bad case of white coat syndrome, meaning I’m pretty terrified of Doctors and dentists, but the folks at ismile have worked with me and my anxiety every step of the way to make me feel as comfortable as possible on my journey to keep my mouth healthy. I’m totally thankful.

I've been going to iSmile's for over 3 years now and have never had a bad experience. Everyone is so friendly, receptionist, hygienists, doctors, all of them. The office is lovely and doesn't feel like a traditional dentist experience. I highly recommend iSmile's in the Avenues to anyone. I actually look forward to going and getting my teeth cleaned every 6 months.

So I’m changing my review from 5 stars a year ago to one star because I’m now getting a bill for ~$600 from something that was done a year ago. My bill says 90 days past due and it’s the very first bill I’ve seen from them after I paid up front for everything. I’m sorry that you’re bad at guessing what insurance will pay, but maybe get better at that so your customers aren’t getting a surprise later down the road. Ive referred people there and they are getting bills now too. I’m glad I’ve found another dentist is all I can say.

I Smile is by far the best dentist in Salt Lake, apart from their great staff and very friendly environment. They accepted me with open hands and took over, even though I had braces put on in Mexico. (No other orthodontist accept 3rd party members)

Kim is the best!! I continue to go to any office she works in, from Riverton to Downtown SLC. She is so helpful and fun to work with! She takes care of everything and I can trust her to make sure it is done right and gets me the best deal! Thank you Kim and I thank your Dentist. Also Lauren, she is the best Dental Assistant I have ever had, and I have had a lot of Dental work!

Usually going to a dentist’s office is a chore but, at this place I enjoy going each and every time. All of the employees are very professional yet still friendly. Aiden, the dental worker who has been working on my teeth over the past couple of years is great at what he does and makes me feel calm and comfortable throughout the entire visit, every time.

Aubrey and Kim are the best ever! We travel from West Jordan all the way to the Ave.'s just to see these lovely ladies . my daughter has done ortho and dental work here. Good price and great people ! Highly recomend but make sure to ask for Aubrey !
