Dentists of South Jordan and Orthodontics

I went to this appointment with trepidation as I've have some tough times with root canal procedures. This time I was pleasantly surprised. The shots were fairly painless and I was finished before I was aware of the time. Dr. Rees was good at his job and I found the office professional and skilled.

We went to Dr. McAffee yesterday for the first time. He was wonderful and so was his entire office staff. The place is new and very clean. Dr. McAffee was kind and thorough and sensitive to our needs. We had been going to a dentist who wasn't kind to my kids and impatient with their fear of shots. Dr. McAffee reassured me that if they need dental work and shots, he would be patient and if their fears were still too high, we could try sedation. Something our other dentist never offered, just yelled at my boys if they cried at all when they got the shot. We are excited to take our whole family here.

I also liked how thorough the appointment was, he sat down with my daughter and I before her cleaning and addressed any concerns. She has braces and has had teeth sensitivity. He explained it is often normal, but they would try a flouride treatment to help. I also don't like root canals fr the potential risks on the whole body's health and am happy that he tries to avoid them as much as possible. I would recommend him to anyone. Will update after we take my boys and have work done.

Had such a great experience. They listened to all my concerns and got me taken care of quickly. After having my fillings and crown done my mouth wasn't sore at all. Was wonderful last dentist that did a filling my mouth was sore for a week. Plus all the staff is so friendly and kind.

Dr Mcaffee and staff are amazing. I had an emergency need and they really took care of me. He gave me fair treatment options and listened to my needs. I have an extremely sensitive gag reflex which makes going to the dentist more uncomfortable. The staff and the dr took extra care to help me. I highly recommend this dentist.

Bye bye...💸💸💸💸...The office manager and a couple a of hygienists are very nice and professional. That is the positive. The first dentist I went to was sent to a different location, I had Dr. Mcafee replace him, when I showed up, no one informed me of this until I was in the chair. I needed dental work done so I stayed. After I got a second X-ray and cleaning for the year in 4 months, dr mcafee told me they would contact me with a treatment plan. I called twice and left a message or Should have scheduled without a treatment plan. 1 month later I called again to see if it was done. And I received my treatment plan by email the next day. I feel like they did not really care to have me as a patient in the first place. I know Covid has been rough for all businesses but I will be finding another dentist. Because I had 2 cleanings and a periodontal cleaning in the span of 4 months, I only have 74.00 left to work with on my dental insurance. This has opened my eyes that I need to keep better track of what is done. Typically I rely on the dentists and hygienist to help me know what is critical treatment. That did not happen. Lesson learned.

As we are all experiencing these hard times. I recently had a dental emergency. Truly grateful Dentist of South Jordan got me in same day to get it taken care of. It was a clean and professional environment. They had a questionnaire about exposure and took my temperature before getting me fixed up. Thank you Dr. McAffee and your awesome staff for being there during these odd times.

The check-in procedure and paperwork in preparation for my visit were extremely efficient. The receptionist, dental assistant and doctor were excellent and professional. The hygienist was amazing! Great experience and as strange as it may sound I'm really looking forward to my next visit to the dentist!

Well no one enjoys getting a root canal, but at Dentists of South Jordan it was definitely an easier ordeal than my last one. They were very good about letting me know what was going on every step of the way and why they were doing what they were doing. They have the latest equipment and a very friendly staff.

Like many I had one bad experience with a dentist and it gave me severe anxiety. I would make appointments for 6 month checks and would always cancel my appointments to get work that I really needed done. It came down to the point I HAD to get work done. I decided to give this office a chance. On the phone I let them know my anxieties. My first visit Dr. McAfee met with me in his office first. We discussed my fears and stress of the cost of all that needed to be done. After xrays he laid out all I had going on. What I loved was he did not pressure me at all. He was honest and told me what he thought was most pressing. He let me know what he could do when I get worked on to relieve some of my anxiety. I have been back 3 times and he has done 2 crowns all while making sure I was comfortable and able to take care of the financial part as well. My girls love the office and the staff and I never worry about them in the other room while we are all there. His staff is professional and personable. For me to continue to go back AND write a review is something I never would have done. I highly recommend Dr. MacAfee and his staff!

Hate dentist offices in general however the staff was very polite and professional and knowledgeable. The dentist who fixed my cavities did an amazing job. The process was as pain free as possible. I will definitely continue to use dentists of SOJO!!
