I just starting seeing Dr. McGavin a few months ago since my long time dentist retired. I was so impressed with the posted reviews by his patients that I had to try him. I particularly liked the comments about the great staff and his willingness to help in odd situations like killer pain after hours. Recently I've had a tooth extracted and a new crown and he and the staff have been wonderful. My experiences so far have made me feel very comfortable and having after hour contact information really helps my anxiety of starting with a new dentist (by the way I did call him after hours and he responded immediately). So far I can see why past patients say he and his staff are great!

Dr Scott McGavin is a most competent dentist with wonderful hand skills and the best chair side manners. His staff are friendly and efficient and his hygienists are fantastic. I would recommend him in a heartbeat.

Heavens !! The best dental visit and experience I have ever had in my entire life though it seems like a dream. Dr. McGavin has a divine calling to do excellently what he is called to do, and in addition to that he is as well blessed with the best trained staffs one can ever imagine. Dr. McGavin and his staffs are the "dental family with the soft and gentle touch." The moment I walked into the office my phobia disappeared and I felt different because I was received by staffs with open arms and big genuine smiles to a point that I started questioning myself if they knew me.
They connected with me in all levels of empathy. Dr. McGavin got it all, very experience in his career, knows what he is doing and meeting all expectations of patients, has a gentle touch, simple, kind and understanding. He keeps his staffs and patients feeling very relax and comfortable around him. He also took a giant step and blessed my life by uplifting my financial burden which keeps my mouth and my eyes still widely open up till this point. Now the professional services he provided me is -inexplicable, I honestly believed it would take about three to four weeks for my mouth to get feeling better again but surprisingly it took only 3 to four hours. Wow unbelievable ! Dr. McGavin and family/team thank you so much for the kindness and excellent services. May GOD in HIS tender mercies continue to bless and establish the works of your hands to prosper you so that you eat the good of this land. I will not hesitate to recommend to friends and other folks !!

Just had another great experience with Dr. McGavin. I have had everything from root canals to replacing veneers, and he does a fantastic job every time. The care and concern, as well as technical ability, is unmatched at any other dentist I've attended. I highly recommend Dr. McGavin for all your dental needs.

Was in a pinch with an implant crown that was installed by another dentist that was causing gum infections due to more-than-typical debris finding its way under the crown. The other dentist refused to do anything about the issues. I was referred to Dr. McGavin and he fit me in for a consult right away and is having a new crown made that fits the contours of my teeth better minimizing debris collection under and around the crown. On a side note, BEST teeth cleaning I have ever had! His hygienist is phenomenal! Super happy I stumbled on Dr. McGavin, he is caring, compassionate and probably the nicest and most professional & accommodating dentist I've ever visited. I think I've finally found someone I can trust completely with all my dental care needs and that is a huge relief!

Dr Scott McGavin was very professional and very kind and spent a lot of time with me. This was my very first visit to him. He did not try to do extra things on my teeth that didn’t need to be done. His assistants and staff explained everything to me so well. I will be back every 6 months. THANK YOU VERY MUCH SCOTT.

Dr. McGavin has been a great service to our family through thick and thin. His staff have always been professional and helpful and Dr. McGavin has been there to treat our every day cleanings to complex tooth repair. He represents the profession well and has made every effort to accommodate our needs. Thank you Dr. McGavin and team!!!

Im extremely impressed with this office. Dr. McGavin is very friendly and his staff were great. With a busy schedule the front desk was very accommodating getting me in and the hygienist I had was really gentle and explained to me what she was doing, which eased my anxious mind. I also took my three year old in to get a cleaning and both the hygienist and dentist were patient waiting for him to warm up until he felt comfortable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone especially those looking for a good dentist for kids.

I recommend Dr McGavin for many reasons. Here are the 2 most important:

1. As a child, I had some ghastly experiences with a dentist. More than 60 years later, trips to the dentist are still stressful. Dr McGavin is always relaxed and patient and never takes my anxiety personally. When needed, he is very attentive to pain management. Knowing this, I can get through the visits relatively calmly.

2. My wife is a retired dental hygienist. She has a B.S. in dental hygiene from Columbia University and practiced for 36 years. She worked in a large number of dental offices in four states. She knows good dental work when she sees it and she sees it in Dr McGavin's work.

So, superb chairside and extremely competent technical skills combine for a win. He also employs a topnotch staff. It is a great plzce to get excellent dental care.

We went to Dr. McGavin for years. He then proceeded to do a procedure on our son that was not approved by our insurance. Per HIS contract with our insurance company, he could only bill us the contract rate. However, after several years of being patients, he tried to charge us full price. His office staff then accused us of “bullying” them when we asked that they honor the contract and bill us the contract rate. We eventually paid the contract rate, after which they fired us as patients. This was a couple months ago. We just got into a new dentist since it was time for our 6 month check ups who promptly told us that every member of our family has cavities that were not caught by our previous dentist! I would not recommend Dr. McGavin. He seems nice, but clearly does not know exactly what he is doing. He fooled us!
