Every time I went. Which was four visits. Hour wait in the waitroom. And two hours waiting in the back. And the secretary, and dentist were very rude and nasty to me. Everytime. And they would not call my insurance. And get everything set with my insurance. To fix a cavity. They said I had to do it. Which I've went to enough dentist in my time to know it is there job. Anyway. There is way more I could add. To how badly they treated me. IBut this is the worst dentist I have ever been to in my entire life!!!!! I am looking for a new dentist now.

Not only were they very fast I never once felt like I was hurried. From the front office the the back they made me feel very comfortable, welcomed, and treated me with the most extreme curtesy. Cassie T. was amazing, Taylor was very thorough, and Dr. J. showed trust in her staff with Cassie’s recommendation but also leadership by expanding on the treatment plan. The Beckley, WV office gets my referral!!

Other than my first appointment taking several hours (I watched 4 1/2 episodes of flip or flop, so at least they had it on a good channel lol) I had an overall excellent experience. The staff is all very friendly a knowledgeable and they explained every procedure before they did it.

Service, professionalism, was awesome! Price is unacceptable without dental insurance!

2 stars for the nice building and semi professionalism. Other than that I've been quite patient trying for about a month to get a new patient appointment and every week It's the same thing. No openings, So if you drive a truck OTR or work out of town don't expect to ever get an appointment cause they won't even attempt to work with you.

I had a great experience for my first visit! Everyone was so friendly, my X-ray assistant was great, the dentist I seen was so informative and nice, and my dental hygienist was wonderful! I would recommend this place to anyone and I will most definitely be going to Aspen Dental in Beckley from now on!

I wish I would have read the reviews thoroughly prior to wasting my time in this place. I was lucky enough to have a filling chip right before the holiday and my long stretch of upcoming work shifts. I called in and visited the office on 11/20 for a checkup and was told I will need to fix 2 fillings. Appointment scheduled for next day, I even asked if we can throw in a teeth cleaning while I'm at it and was told it will be determined how busy the hygienist will be. One thing that was told to me by Megan and should have raised a red flag was a question if I want to go ahead and prepay for my treatment. I didn't have my card on me so I said I would prefer to pay after the treatment itself the next day.

Fast forward next day. I show up and spend 45 mins on the chair when I encounter the hygienist. I double check to make sure it's okay to have my teeth cleaned prior to drilling and taken aback when I'm told I am only scheduled for cleaning. another 30 mins of back and forth between the hygienist trying to get answers from Megan and Dr. Nichols, who are both busy attending other people, and I decide to just walk out. My red flag turned into a flaming sign and I just don't feel comfortable to have any procedures done at this place. On my way out I encounter the elusive Megan and flat out she tells me that she only scheduled me for cleaning and the fact that I didn't pay upfront for filling work goes against their corporate policy (yet I was still scheduled for something without paying...). I had to repeat my question but yes, before they even schedule you for anything you have to pay upfront. Now, as an unfortunate veteran of dental offices (thank you extreme outdoor sports), I have never encountered such policy. Sure, I've seen offices asking to pay certain % of treatment cost upfront on the day of a scheduled visit when it's a complicated pricey procedure, but never a payment for a filling before you're even scheduled. The worst part of it was Megan bluntly telling me to stop yelling in the hallway, when we are having a conversation, albeit tense, but a conversation nonetheless without any raising of voices. At this point all I could say was to comment how disrespectful her demeanor was ( especially the yelling comment), requested my Xrays and walked out.

I'm chronicling these adventures because no worker of any healthcare setting should resort to lies and attitude. You screwed up, admit it and try to make it better. I'm a surgical oncology nurse and I encounter mishaps daily, I get it, mistakes happen. But I cannot stand when someone feels it's okay to lie to my face. I gave corporate a call and it seems that the whole prepay policy prior to scheduling, Megan's flagship excuse, might not even be true.

Moral of the story, there are 20+ dentists in 10 mile radius and looks like I dodged a bullet. Thankfully, I can get by with some Ibuprofen and patience until Monday. I'm sure whoever I will call next will not be as awful as this experience.

Staff was very friendly and professional. The Doctor calm my fears because of her gently hands, no pain no fear! I recommend Aspen to anyone who’s seeking a clean professional dentistry.

Very polite yet professional, right on the money for appointment's, the pricing is very pricey and dental procedures written whereas your insurance does Not pay plus they will Not work with you on any form of payments and will Not let you get your second soft liners nor permanent false teeth unless you pay everything up front .
