Summit Family Dentistry

I had a dental emergency and Summit Family Dentistry worked me in right away. The front desk staff were all very friendly, happy to help and assist. The dental assistant and dentist were very quick in assessing the problem and getting me the help I needed. I will recommend Summit Family Dentistry to anyone who asks!

We have been going to Summit Family Dentistry for a couple of years now and they are wonderful. Our 2 year old has been in for 2 visits already and they are so wonderful with her! We recently moved and still drive across town to keep going to them!

My blood pressure spiked today. Not sure what happened but I needed to be dismissed because of it. They were super kind. They know their trade and art very well. I can’t believe I never went to these guys. Can’t wait to continue my maintenance there. Front desk is great.

My family and I have been coming to Summit Family Dentistry for years and each appointment has been excellent, including having a filling. The hygienists and dentists are professional and kind. Going to the dentist has been an enjoyable experience with Summit Family Dentistry.

I saw Dr. Yoxall. She is incredible! Diagnosed one of my teeth as cracked and helped me schedule a time to fix it, days before my follow up appointment I ended up breaking the tooth which would have required an emergency dental visit in most cases but because of the care that Summit Family took I was prepared for worst case and was already on the books to get it taken care of ASAP. Dr. Yoxall also did an incredible job with the crown, it looks great and didn't even hurt the next day. Everyone I have interacted with at Summit Family Dentistry has been friendly, knowledgable, and helpful!

Everyone at Summit Family Dentistry are wonderful. The dentist was so understanding and did an amazing job! I would recommend them to anyone looking for a dentist office.

Everyone is very friendly and helpful. They obviously care about their patients and their health. While I don’t always like what I hear about my dental health, I KNOW they are going to do everything they can to help me improve that health.

I unexpectedly needed an appt 3 days before Christmas for onset of pain in a tooth. The scheduler was kind and helped me make an appt. quickly and I received excellent and compassionate care from Michelle, Dr. Yoxall and Dr. Harvey. From entry to exit all the staff were caring and professional. I've been a patient for many years and this is yet another example of why. Thank you Summit Staff and Merry Christmas!

A couple of months ago I was looking for a new dentist due to some issues with my insurance and so, based on the referral of a friend, I (unfortunately) tried Summit Family Dentistry. My first (and only) appt. was for a 6-month check-up and cleaning. My appt. was at 12:00 pm, but when I arrived, I had to wait until about 12:40 pm to go back. I also found it odd that at about 12:25 pm, the front desk person said to me, "your appt. was at 12:30 pm, right?", to which I responded, "no, it was at 12:00 pm". I think they may have reset my appt. to 12:30 pm in their system while I was waiting to minimize how much wait time was logged in their system for my appt. Then, once I got back to the chair, I continued waiting for another 15 min. or so, at which point, someone came in and polished my top teeth (only) because someone else then came in and interrupted the polishing to take x-rays. I then waited a little longer (with no one in the room). The dentist finally came in and did an oral exam, reviewed the x-rays and discussed their findings. They then left and I waited a little longer (again, with no one in the room). By this time I had been in their office for almost 2 hours for a routine 6-month cleaning and check-up, a lot of which still hadn't been done. I had to get back to work (and with no one still in the room), I took off my bib, got out of the chair and walked myself out of their office, again, without any type of cleaning or bottom teeth polishing. About an hour after I got home, I received a $3,000 out-of-pocket treatment plan. Now I would like to note that I have been going to the dentist religiously every 6 months for decades, and had actually just been to my prior dentist 6 months before with a "clean bill of health", so I was quite shocked to see such an extensive (and expensive) recommended treatment plan from my appt. that day with Summit. Also, just to be as reasonable and fair as possible, I did send a follow-up email directly to Summit later that week discussing the above issues and giving them the opportunity to address and correct my poor experience with their office, however, their response was simply, "if you have any questions about your treatment plan, we would be happy to explain things further". There was no apology for wasting hours of my time, nor an offer to finish their incomplete work. Needless to say, this was a very disappointing response and I will definitely not be returning to Summit!

Dr. Kara Arcenuex is gentle , explains throughly what's happening and is very personable. Michelle is comforting , professional, and very kind and gentle. They make going to the dentist much easier. The entirefront end are welcoming and on top of whats going on. Thanks Corinne
