Summit Family Dentistry is great!! For a person being iffy about going to the dentist, this one in particular made me feel super comfortable. Haley went above and beyond with getting me scheduled for my first appointment, and welcoming me into the office. Julia the hygienist was gentle during my cleaning and super informative.

Dr. Harvey is the only dentist I trust. You are in good hands with him. As such, I buy the yearly packages to have my teeth cleaned. Due to Covid and the office closing down in early 2020, my cleaning was canceled. Since then I have been scared to go.
Today, I called to ask if they would honor my prepaid package. They will not. It’s expired, mind you, I paid for it. Unfortunately, as a disabled veteran, I cannot afford at this time to buy another $4-500 package, so I am out of luck. This is all very disheartening as I loved the office and my dentist. Dental fear and a pandemic caused me to wait too long and I ended up losing the money I already paid.

The employees in this place were nice, but they get one star for feeling very scammy. Procedures were pushed heavily that I did not need, I was told I had receding gums and needed fluoride toothpaste for a temperature sensitivity I've had all my life, that I had bursitis, and I was repeatedly asked if I wanted cosmetic realignment of my teeth even when I said no. I was also told I had five cavities that were ALL high priority and would cost $1500 before insurance to fill. They also took EIGHTEEN x-rays which I have never had done at any dentist ever. I'm pretty sure they used all the x-rays on my insurance. I go in to my regular dentist regulaly and get all my scheduled cleanings, and this all just felt very off to me. They also tried to charge me for a non-covered fluoride treatment I had repeatedly declined. When I went back to my regular dentist and they looked at the same x-rays Summit took and said I had one cavity and none of the other issues. I cannot in good conscience recommend this dentist, no matter how nice they were, because they seem to be in the business of charging customers for work they don't need. Can you imagine five fillings I didn't need? Untenable.
