Absolute Dental - South Virginia

First off, I'd like to point out that the number they have listed doesn't seem to work. Try this one, 787-8900. The first time I called google's listed number, I got a "new" absolute dental rep who didn't know how to help, know the address of their office, and couldn't pull any records.

Second time I called, number was invalid. Called another office who transferred me but couldn't give me the actual number. Ended up at the SAME ADDRESS google currently has listed (6490 S. McCarran) but they said that is the oral surgeon and she gave exactly 2 ***** about helping me. Told me the address to her and to "Absolute Dental" are the same, but they are not the same company. She gave me this number, 787-8900, and told me to call them.

Third call to new number. Went straight to voicemail. My entire goal is simply to get records, which I requested 6 weeks ago, for my kids after I chose to remove my kids from this office. This is also following about 6 other calls I've made wondering why I haven't received my kids' records yet.

I also haven't even told you about what they did to my kids' mouths. Long story short, DON'T GO HERE.

So had a consultation done a year ago got best insurance you can have did the whole works the cleaning fillings extractions even bought the 100 dollar crest facy tooth brush they recommend too that deep cleans ... so just 5 months after I was done with all treatments my back molar chipped off I don’t have a tooth under it so broke all on its own it doesn’t touch any other tooth so went back in to see why my tooth is chipped from the area they drilled for filling it chipped at my gum line now they want 2000 for a root canal and a crown so if you go here you will be a ginnie pig they don’t honor their work they said they aren’t responsible for my teeth after I leave their office so be prepared to be trial and error all they offered me was 170 refund for the cash but not for the 600 my insurance paid I had the filling done in March and my tooth chipped five months later in August so I highly recommend any other dentist for sure ...

These guys were great! They treated my fiancée with respect and actually took their time on his teeth. They weren't like other offices where they rush you in and out. Great staff also! Thanks guys!

From the moment I walked in, this place was completely incompetent. Very long story short, I just called to see if I could get my x-rays from yesterday's appointment (Because I will not be going back to them ever and will get the word out about them.) and the lady hung up on me!

Great staff and very nice Doctor! Definitely would recommend. Most of the staff is bilingual which is a plus for Spanish speakers.

Absolute waste of my time,my insurance recommended me and you guys attended me and gave me an appointment, just to tell me there's nothing you guys can do when I came in with my reference the first time and nothing was told to me. I'm a banquet chef and have literally 0 time for myself so thank you guys for a wasted day.

Got my tooth pulled a while back by Dr.Hock and he and his assistants did an awesome job. Quick and painless. Defiantly recommend them

so i go in, its been three years since ive seen a dentist, expecting to deal with some kind of concern, and was prepared. they said i needed a deep cleaning (to the tune of $200+) and that I needed 8 fillings replaced. OK , not happy, but not set off, I did the deep cleaning first and then prepared for my cavities to be replaced. tbh I was looking forward to that, as I thought it would be super not to blind people with silver every time I laughed. I did think it was strange to need EIGHT filling replacements, but, hey, white replacements (which is what I had been advised I would get) sounded super!! So, I ended up with this little bitty female dentist who was not the original dentist and she proclaims that I need a cap on one of my teeth, not a fix, and that 'dentists always have different opinions' .... hmmm... then she got the office manager to get "permission" to amend the recommendation.... hmmmm... she said I would need a separate appt for that. Then she starts in on my teeth, i ask if she plans on numbing my mouth to do this , she says no, she normally doesn't.... what the..?..... then she puts all of her 125lbs on my lips and jaw for over an HOUR. OK, let me say, Im not inexperienced with dentists, I have had all four of my wisdom teeth removed at the same time, I've had a 5th and 6th wisdom teeth removed at the same time (yes, it is possible), and I have had as many as four large cavities filled at the same time, and I have NEVER been treated so roughly. my lips felt shredded, and my jaw was killing me, and my bite didnt match up afterward. Not to mention, she did NOT polish off the excess filling, she says that it will brush off over time... well, its been three weeks and its still there... But wait !!! there's more!! they asked to set an appt for the cap, and I lied and said that I needed to get back to my office to look at my calendar. When I got back to my office, I saw that I was charged more than I was quoted. After calling back, and being on hold for 15min, they say that the dentist found a cavity under one of the fillings that she took care of..... well , that was news to me, it shouldnt have been, but it was... So then I decide to check out my new fillings, and guess what??? You guessed it, it was the same f****ng silver that I had before. But wait!!!! theres more!!! My dental insurance company sent an invoice to me of what they charged the insurance company, it was for twice the amount that was originally billed. When I called the insurance company, they thought that I had indeed gotten the white fillings too, by the billing. Don't go to this place. Don't go to them if they are the last dentist in town.

Dr. Hock was awesome, friendly and made my experience very pleasant. I never thought having four wisdom teeth pulled could be so easy.
