I have had two cleanings, xrays and fillings done by D. Josh. Every experience I've had has been quick and virtually painless. Before you even arrive, you have the opportunity to fill out a lot of your paperwork via online revenues. In these forms and some that you fill out at your initial intake, you're asked about your previous experiences and preferences for your dental visits. The clinic is nicely organized and you receive a tour and goodie bag upon your first arrival. Once sat in the chair, I was asked if I preferred my dentist to chat with me a lot or just a little, and what would make me more comfortable. I really believe they're putting a new spin on dental experiences all around and would recommend them to anyone looking for a place in Reno. Any dental work recommended comes with quotes after inputting your insurance so that you know before going in. If having work aside from a cleaning done, they have warming and massaging chairs which is definitely another bonus. Again, I highly recommend this clinic, every experience has been a great one so far.

I visited here for a consult with Dr. Josh. I needed a second opinion on my dental X-rays taken by another dental office. Dr. Josh offered a honest opinion about the X-rays and the treatment plan free of charge. Furthermore, he examined my teeth and gum conditions and shared my overall oral health with me, which was super helpful to know. I knew this place is great because my 7-year-old son has regular check-ups here with Dr. Ryan. My visit with Dr. Josh was another great and excellent experience!

Ana was amazing! Super gentle with a sidekick of FUN. Ana took the time to get to know me and my dental habits so she could guide me to keeping things on track. Always such a pleasure seeing Ana and checking out with Janelle. Sala Family Dentistry is AWESOME!!

I've been going to Sala Family Dentistry since the beginning of 2018. I'm not a huge fan of the dentist, generally speaking. I have to say that the good folks at Sala Family really changed my perspective on what a visit to the dentist should really be like. First of all, even before you enter the building you can hear calm, soothing, meditative music over the speakers.

Once inside, they are incredibly cordial and professional. They offer water and juice. The wait in the lobby is not like old school dentist offices where you imagine a hammer and spikey tools being used on other patients. Its more like a wait in a lobby at a day spa or yoga center.

I had the honor of having Anna as my dental assistant work on my teeth, she is extremely friendly, informative, and engages in friendly conversation. Not too personal or invasive. She told me about every detail and what to expect as she began her work.

I also had Dr. Ryan who was very much the same way. They both had a great sense of humor and made all my visits so comfortable. They are both thorough and have a high level of patience. I actually look forward to seeing them again for my check up.

Overall I have to say, Sala Family Dentistry has set a really high bar for the dental experience. Understanding today's needs and attitudes in a market where people do their homework and research before spending their money on products and services.

I love Sala! Truly. I work with hundreds of dental offices across the nation and choose Sala as my dental home. They are professional, amazing with treatment, great bedside manners, incredibly clean. So grateful I found an office I can trust to offer the best care.

Everyone on staff is super friendly and very professional. We have always had a great experience at Sala Family Dentistry and now our kids have started going as well. The kids love the pediatric staff too! They are gentle, sweet and do a fantastic job.

Dr.Ryan and Emily were so great and gentle with my 2yr old daughter, and then Cassie was so sweet with my daughter as she sat on my lap during my cleaning! It was so great seeing Dr.Jason for my exam, and Tricia and Isai always make me smile! Thank you all for another great visit! I appreciate your team, you guys are awesome.

Dentists/hygienists are fine, but if you have PPO insurance - be very, very careful.

Office was local and showed up on my insurance's PPO list, so I gave them a shot. Gave the billing department my info and they reassured me that they were in the PPO network. Gave me an estimate as an in-network provider. Then my insurance rejected the claim. It turns out only some of their dentists are PPO complaint and others are not, and they chose to schedule me with one that was not. I had NEVER heard of that before! And since they failed to disclose this, the estimates I agreed to were way, way off leaving me owing over a thousand unexpected dollars while wasting the dental insurance I am already paying for. When I asked them about it, the lady snarked at me "THAT IS WHY THEY ARE CALLED ESTIMATES!"

So if you're a new client or if you ever have changes to your dental insurance (which if you have a PPO means the list changes), make sure to go get the estimate from them, sign NOTHING, e-mail/fax the estimate to your insurance provider and make sure that they didn't mislead you with their estimates. Failing to do so could lead you to a sizeable unexpected bill! Lesson learned the hard way.

This office is so efficient in their people, procedures and use of tech. The team of Dr Justin, dental hygienist Candice and Jason in the front office couldn’t be more professional and friendly. I highly recommend the Sala Family Dental office.
