Above Dental

This place is seriously the best! I always get super nervous about my dental work and cleanings. Everyone has been so helpful and pleasant. They don't make you feel bad about the things you need done. They go above and beyond to get help get your appointments scheduled and walk you through the cost. I highly recommend Binh the dental hygienist and Dr Martin's!

I've been putting off some much needed dental work for years - just thinking about it caused major anxiety! The moment I checked in at Above Dental, my anxiety around the dentist subsided and the experience only got better. Dr. Martin took the time to help me address an urgent dental need then gently took the time to help me work out a plan that prioritized what I need and works with my budget. Angel was gentle with my x-rays and patience when she had to take a few over. They didn't make me feel bad about being there a few minutes after they closed and my checkout experience was just as pleasant (I can't believe I'm using that word in a review for my dental experience) as the rest of it. I am so glad they are here for our community. Oh, and they fit me in for a same day urgent appointment!! Highly recommend.

I have been going to Sarah Horset to have my teeth cleaned for about 8 years. She is very caring and does an excellent job. I have sensitive teeth and she is always careful to check to make sure she is not hurting me (which she doesn't). I found out from a friend that Sarah had begun working for Dr. Brice about 5 years ago so I made an appointment to see her there and I am so glad I did. Not only do I get to have Sarah continue as my hygienist, I really like Dr. Brice. He is very personable, is an excellent dentist and makes certain that his patients are comfortable and understand exactly what needs to be done. I trust him to do what is needed to keep my teeth healthy, nothing more and nothing less. My family all go to Dr. Brice. Two members of my family see other hygienists at Dr. Brice's office and like them very much. I had a back molar with a large filling from when I was a girl. Two years ago, that tooth cracked across the bottom, between the roots and it was extremely painful. I was able to get in to see Dr. Brice the day I called and when Dr. Brice saw what had happened, he made an emergency appointment with an oral surgeon in Coos Bay for me to see if a root canal could save my tooth or if it was so broken it would have to be pulled. I was able to have the root canal that afternoon and Dr. Brice gave me a beautiful crown. I am so appreciative that he was willing to do everything possible to save my tooth. His whole staff is nice and makes their patients feel welcome. My husband is no longer afraid to go to the dentist since he has been seeing Dr. Brice, which is really amazing as he used to be very afraid of dentists! Their new building is also really beautiful. I would encourage everyone to go to Above Dental.

My name is Jorge Bonachea. I am a former patient of Dr. Johnson and his extremely caring assistant, Jenna. I appreciate this opportunity to brag about these two individuals who have helped to changed my life forever.

Like many other people, I put my teeth last on the self care list, not knowing how detrimental it would be. Fast forward to the winter of 2020 and I had realized I had very low self esteem due to my lack of dental care.

I met Dr. Johnson through a job that he sublet my customer service skills for in December of 2020. I'm still not sure how I so graciously blessed with the opportunity to become a more confident man through his artwork, but I will forever be grateful for this "pro-bono" gift of a new smile through veneers! Jenna, his assistant, was so kind, caring, and made me feel at ease even in the times I feared most.

I now how a full time job in the public where I can confidently smile. I have a new found girl that who I can feel completely confident in my smile with, and my confidence within myself is unexplainable!

From start to finish this was the best experience I've ever had with a dentist! I spent half the day calling dentists just to be told that they couldn't get me in until next week, or they were closed, or wanted to prescribe antibiotics without having seen me. Jen was able to get me in immediately! When I got there she was super friendly and gave me a cute little gift just for being a patient! Sheila was very thorough and was amazing at talking me through the entire procedure. Dr. Martins was very understanding about my anxiety and careful to make sure that I wasn't in any pain. I loved that they carried on an entertaining conversation through it all, which kept me focused on something other than what they had to do. And Jodi was super nice when I checked out and made sure that I had a follow up appointment to make sure that I don't have to come back in an emergency situation again.

I have never recieved better treatment from any dentist office I have ever been to in my life. The staff here are so amazing and caring for there patients. thank you for everything i highly recommend anyone who needs expert or emergency care to visit above dental.

Nice, clean and welcoming facility. Best customer service in town! Binh is hands down the best hygienist I have ever been to. She is great at what she does and goes above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable. Dr. Brice is also very good at his job and is very funny! Desk staff is always friendly and accommodating! Highly recommend this dental office.

From the first moment I walked in the door, I was impressed with the welcome staff. Everything about this dental office is warm, welcoming and professional. I had been referred to Above Dental because I needed some surgery. I came from out of town and they worked hard to see if I could get everything done in one visit instead of having to come back. They succeeded in getting my dental surgery done in one visit. I would recommend Above Dental to anyone needing regular or special needs dental care.

Always a pleasant experience. No, I don't love going to the dentist, however, I do hate getting a haircut. But I don't hate going to the dentist at Above Dental. Binh, my hygienist, is very skilled and kind. Dr. Brice is excellent and does not push any procedures that are not necessary, but he does alert me to possible problems and how they can be handled it if it is required.

I'm very impressed with Above Dental. Their staff are all very efficient and friendly. I would highly recommend Binh Nguyen if you can make a request for a Hygienist. She was thorough and kind and kept checking on me to make sure I was ok through the process (I have sensitive teeth). If you are thinking of making a switch or haven't been in a while (guilty) you should definitely give them a try. It's not like going to the dentist when I was a kid. The genuinely care about the people that come in.
