Center City Emergency Dentist

Walked out at 12:30 after waiting 30 minutes for my noon appointment with no communication regarding the delay. This was a rescheduled appointment from April that had to be cancelled because they didn't have enough hygienists. Been a patient for 5 years but the practice is clearly suffering some management and staffing issues since Covid. Staff and Dr. Tummillo are very nice but according to desk staff they no longer offer cleaning and hygienist appointments during the week.

The experience was amazing I have been in pain for two weeks now and I can’t say how much relief it’s brought me. The front desk staff were so accommodating. The office aesthetic is beautiful everyone is professional and the attire signified how put together the staff is. Dr Juan his assistant ,Angel and staff who handled billing were all excellent and provided exceptional service. This was a last minute decision to come here but I’m so glad I did!. My procedure was extremely quick but all my questions and concerns were answered. This practice is exceptional I may have to return just for routine work !

I chipped a tooth on a Sunday morning and immediately found CCED. All staff was very kind and efficient. Dr. Tummillo explained every step of the process as he fixed my tooth and it was as good as new! The office was very sleek and modern. 10/10 would recommend.

Great job , I'm a merchant marine and I had a crown come loose. I called and they said come in as soon as possible, from in to out the door took 40 min. Great staff !!!!
I will and have recommended CCED to the capt for all dental emergencies

I'm going to give this facility my honest and fair review based on my personal experience. It's not horrible but it was not what I consider great either, it is an emergency facility so I wasn't sure what to expect going in. I called one night with debilitating pain and I was scheduled for the next morning for an extraction - That was great. They do require to pay ahead of time vs after the work is done so take that into account.

We arrived at 30 mins early and an hr later we were still in the waiting area. I was brought to a room at 1100am and sat in that room for 45 minutes before speaking to a dr. -Not great but they also seemed over booked for the size of the staff so they should really evaluate their scheduling system.

The dr proceeded to ask if I want more work done at the same time which would be around $1500 total and they included a procedure in my paperwork that I did not ask for nor was that procedure mentioned to me before it was put in my paperwork. - NOT OK!

I questioned all of that and then they revised the paperwork lowering the bill from $1500 to $500. NOT a great way to handle business. I came there for one reason - that should have been their focus - rather they attempted to include other work into the cost that I had not asked for. Pushing sales seems shady but hey leave whatever impression you want - I'm intelligent enough to dodge that.

I do advise that you carefully read through your paperwork and absolutely question it if it doesn't seem right. They were efficient in fixing that once I pointed it out - but again - it should not have happened.

Once that was resolved I was moved to a surgical room where I was numbed and then sat there for another 20 minutes so they could handle someone else's emergency during my care - not great service on that one either. If you start my procedure do not walk away and focus on someone else then come back like it's no big deal.

After a 3 hour wait the extraction itself only took 15 minutes and they communicated well during the procedure. All in all what I came there for was taken care of BUT I wish I didn't have to go through the 3 hr circus and feeling like I was looked at like a checkbook rather than a patient that needed medical attention.

I love the new dental office. Dr. Tumillo is awesome, caring & he's been my dentist since 2008. The office staff are very professional and will make it work for you. The techs are knowledgeable and patient and I would go NO OTHER place but Center City Emergency Dentist. And the new office is AWESOME! BRIGHT AND BEAUTIFULLLLL! I always leave with no pain and brighter teeth. I LOVE CENTER CITY EMERGENCY DENTIST! Continued blessings to this office and thanks!

I paid a visit to this office while in Philadelpia on business. I found the office staff to be exceptionally friendly and professional. The dentist in the same way was very personal and educated me on the best options to meet my needs. In my short experience, I highly recommend CCED.

Dental care itself was great as well as the office . Follow up care could be better as the receptionist does not return calls or answer questions regarding meds, etc.

I have recommended hygenist Karen and Dr. Tummillo to many. This office runs on time and I always get useful teeth info
