Just started coming here as a new patient and could not be happier. Every single person I’ve interacted with in this office has been incredible. Wish I would have started coming here long before now.

What a wonderful office!i was in town on business when a temporary crown popped off. Simone was able to squeeze me in the following morning and I couldn’t be more grateful. My dentist and hygienist were simply amazing. Highly recommend this office! Great people!!!

I am petrified of the dentist. Nikki and Dr Siegel were very kind, patient And caring. I’ll make another review on Friday when the real work happens. But I have a feeling it will be the same. Thank you guys

I have never in my life had such a horrible experience at any medical practice as I did when I visited Dr. Leas at Dentistry. My appointment was rushed, painful to the point of sadism, and really really really creepy and uncomfortable.

My tooth cracked out of the blue while I was visiting Philadelphia for work. After checking yelp I called Dentistry to see if they had any last minute openings, and they were able to book me for noon the following day.

When I arrived for my appointment and met with Dr. Leas I explained to him that I do have some anxiety about dentists (as I feel most people do) and that my dental insurance wasn’t in full time defect for the next month so I was really worried about it potentially needing a root canal both because of the pain and the cost. Dr. Leas said there was no way to know what I would need (filling vs crown vs root canal) until he started drilling, and once he started he couldn’t really stop. He also said that it was not something that could wait, and that it needed to be dealt with now. I felt kind of pressured, but trusted his professional opinion.

His assistant (who was incredibly nice) took a quick x-ray, Dr. Leas gave me a shot of anesthetic, patted me in the head and called me “good girl” (creepy), and came back within five minutes to start drilling. It was nowhere near long enough for the anesthetic to kick in. It was excruciatingly painful and I immediately started crying in pain. His assistant suggested he stop and give me another shot, which he did, patted me on the cheek this time and again called me “good girl” (super creepy), and walked away to help another patient for the next five minutes while I was left crying in pain alone.

He came back, started drilling again, and again I could feel every second of it. He kept trying to drill, this time at a lower speed while I squirmed, cried, and did everything in my power to signal him that it was not at all ok. Clearly frustrated, Dr. Leas stopped, told his assistant to put in a temporary filling, and left. The tooth he drilled was not washed or blown out before this was put it.

For something that “couldn’t be stopped” once it started or “couldn’t wait” according to him not only twenty minutes later, he sure was willing to stop it and walk away.

After talking to his office staff on the way out, it turns out his lunch break just started. This man was literally rushing through my appointment, willing to cause excruciating pain, and willing to not finish work so he could go to lunch. I’m in no way saying that he doesn’t deserve/need a lunch break, but why would his staff book an appointment they knew could take extensive time only an hour before his break? Why would he start work that he knew he couldn’t properly follow wait time procedures for if his break was so important?

I’ve never felt more physically violated by a medical professional. Not only was the pain worse than any time I broke a bone or had surgery, but he was truly sadistic, and with the comments of “good girl” it felt beyond disgusting and demeaning.

Today (the next day after the appointment) my whole jaw is on fire. I am terrified that he has killed my tooth.

Absolutely fantastic practice. Thorough and efficient, I can schedule my cleaning on my lunch break. Every hygienist I have worked with has been fabulous and so is Dr. Leas.

I get quite a few compliments on my smile and it's due in large part to Dentistry at 1818 Market Street. Shari, my dental hygienist, is fabulous; she's skilled, very friendly and puts you at ease. I can also easily get an appointment here when I need one.
