Dentistry at 1818 Market St.

I came for a dental checkup, i saw the dentist and she was knowledgeable and nice to me. Now, I had provided my insurance information days before the appointment. Just because I had seen another provider the same day, I was forced to pay for everything out-of-pocket. I told them my insurance was going to cover for the visit, the front desk guy was almost yelling at me. I paid for the consultation and left.

I needed a feeling so I contacted them yesterday to schedule, since they had already charged my insurance for x-rays and everything. I asked the lady on the phone to tell me how much my copay would be, to avoid another unpleasant surprise. She said she was giving me a call back with the amount, which she never did. I had to call back this morning, asking the same question: what would my out-of-pocket be?

That’s only when I found out my insurance had fully paid for that previous visit, so I was basically charged twice! No one reached out to let me know I had a credit. Basically, had I not called, I would have never known.

I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1 because the dentist was nice to me.

Had a great experience, they got me in quickly for an urgent appointment. Everyone in the office was friendly and kind. The doctor I saw was also very kind and I felt very comfortable with her and her recommendations

I have been going to this office for over 15 years. The staff is always nice and friendly. Most even know me by name. I would definitely recommend this office for any dental services needed.

Love this place! Always friendly and efficient! Dr. Siegal is caring and thoughtful, always taking the time to sit down and explain anything needed as well. Barbara Walters is by far the best hygienist I’ve even been to as well!! She is thorough and has been the only one to be able to get my teeth plaque free in the trouble areas AND without feeling likes extracting my teeth with it. Very happy to be going here and would definitely recommend!

I’ve highly enjoyed my experience here. My dentist Barbra has been a delightful person to have as a dentist. Personable and friendly. I’m also one of those people who don’t mind going to the dentist either.

Terrific practice with very friendly and attentive staff. Excellent doctors, hygienists and staff. Nice they take care of all my insurance work as well.

Fantastic, friendly, and professional staff. I seldom wait more than a couple minutes for my appointment. COVID-19 protocols are solid, as they use masks and face shield. They also upgraded to a tooth-polishing device that doesn't aerosolize saliva. My partner's dentist did not make such an upgrade, thus she was unable to get her teeth polished during the pandemic. I also find that their check-in and check-out processes, as well as their reminder/notification systems are particularly efficient compared to those of other dental offices I've frequented.

I’ve been to lazy dentists, angry dentists who will read you the riot act for not flossing enough, and dentists who recommend unnecessary procedures just to earn an extra buck. Dr. Siegel and the team at Dentistry at 1818 Market are thorough, accommodating, compassionate, and all around consummate professionals. It’s the best dental care I’ve ever received.

I went in for a root canal and a filling in november 2021 because I had 2 cavities. Both the procedures were fine but what followed afterwards was terrible. I went back 3 times for the permanent crown because it didn't fit me each time. I finally have a permanent crown that I hate and an desperately looking for a new dentist to either adjust it or take it off. I spend nearly 10-12 hours in this office from November 2021 to January 2022 and I'm extremely unsatisfied/unhappy.
A little background - I went to this practice for it's reviews and reputation. I'm a medical physician and a new mom. The amount of time, money and energy I have wasted in getting a crown placed doesn't compare to the mental anguish of having the wrong crown stuck in my mouth and the jaw pain due to difficulty in biting.
Just to be clear my dentist was Dr. Hoschter. I'm not the one to post negative reviews but it's been a few weeks that I had the permanent crown placed and I'm just in anguish. No follow up X-rays of my bite were taken either. Just posting to make others aware of what I went through.

All the staff I encountered were very kind and professional. I have been here twice now and will continue to come back for all my dental needs. I’ve seen two different hygienists and both have been wonderful. I will also recommend to my friends based on my good experience!
