Usually I would give this place 5 stars. However, my most recent visit sucked! The periodontist himself was the only reason it's not a 1 star. I get in at 8:50, my appointment is for 9am. I'd already checked in beforehand. They needed me to fill out papers, which is fine. Had those done by 9. Then my mom and I sat there for 20 minutes before being taken back, another 10 before anyone else walked in the room. Periodontist consult was done at 9:45, but we had to talk about quotes. Some lady told us it would be 15 minutes (minimum) before the billing lady would be able to be in. My mom mentioned she had to catch a flight, and there was no effort to help us out, and the lady had an attitude. Lo and behold, the billing lady comes in 5 minutes later (not 15) and we were out quickly. But the office didn't respect our time, and the overall attitude was very rude. Except for the billing lady, she was nice. Please respect your patients time! If I make an appointment for 9am, I should be seen at 9am! Or at least close to or!

SCAM ALERT!!! DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME!!
I never leave reviews but just feel so taken advantage of after leaving this place. I’m a 26 year old female but look pretty young for my age so they probably thought they could take advantage of a trusting young lady.
I just left Austin Modern Dentistry for an annual check-up, cleaning and wanted to also get a chip in my tooth fixed. I just moved here and was looking for a new place that took my insurance and wish I read reviews before taking off of work, to come and waste my time because I just had the same issues as everyone else.
Was there for a little under an hour. All they did was take my x-rays and then dental hygienist, NATASHA GRAY, came in to examine my gums, with no intention of doing an actual cleaning. She came to a very quick conclusion that I had a severe gum infection and she was so concerned with my bone health and that it was in serious danger even though I have never had issues before, didn’t feel pain when she was poking and my gums don’t bleed. Recommended a plan that costs $762 (without insurance) and then quickly left the room.
DR. LISA OCHOA came into the room next and looked at my x-rays and poked around my teeth. She then told me I had 5 cavities. I’ve had cavities before when I was a teen/child and I know what that feels like when a dentist finds a cavity on your tooth and her poking did not feel like that at all. She also let me know that they didn’t have time to clean my teeth or fix my chipped tooth - which were the reasons I came but they had no problem racking up a bill/treatment plan for me and letting me know that I had to schedule a different time for those even thought it took me 2 months to even get this appointment. And also was so worried about my wisdom teeth and recommended that I get them out there using their oral surgeon with-in the year. I am 26 years old but they have not bothered me yet or even really poked out of my gums and I ask my dentists every year and no one has been concerned.
How do these people sleep at night after being so fake and nice to your face and even complementing your shoes while they are trying to take advantage of you?? Shame on them and they really shouldn’t even have licenses to practice. Will be getting a second opinion and never coming back here.
Just called to cancel all of the appointments I just made with them to fix $3K+ worth of issues I “apparently” have and told them that after reading their reviews I didn’t feel comfortable trusting them as most people word for word had the same experiences as me. The person on the phone didn’t even argue with me or try to convince me other wise.
