I used this place for years. Recently it became horrible. My son needed braces. They said he would have to have jaw surgery and one tooth surgically removed. Which I could not afford at the time. He got an infection in one of his teeth. They refused to give him antibiotic and said it will just continue to get infected until he got his braces. Well I decided to get a second opinion. The new dentist I took him to said that was absurd. You have to treat the infection before the work could be done anyway. Needless to say my son lost a permanent tooth due to their neglectful, greedy ways. Also my son did not need jaw surgery and did not need the other tooth surgically removed. The dentist that worked on my other boys made them cry and was very rude. She talked bad to her assistant in front of us and my 9 year old noticed and said I thought people were not supposed to be treated that way. I'll never go back, and I pray they take care of their other clients better than they did my children. My son now has braces and we have a new wonderful dentist.

Office Staff is great, never have had any issues with anyone. I have been a patient here for 4 years now.. Love the dental assistants, those girls are very sweet & nice. Wait time can sometimes run long, but I have learned to try and pick a time where you are the first one in the morning or right after lunch to ensure being seen promptly.. My biggest issue with Familia Dental and its not even an issue with the office its more on how corporate moves around their orthodontists.. I have been in braces for almost 4 years and have been through 3 different orthodontists & i recently found out the the current one will be leaving soon.. My issue is that every orthodontist has different treatment plans & mine has been changed every time & has left me wearing braces for an extended amount of time.. Sure I could very easily go somewhere else, except my treatment has already been paid in full and i don't want to have to go pay someone else to have my treatment plan changed again & end up having to pay for braces again..

Hard to get a hold of. Really rude office staff, especially the lady in charge of payments. Different orthodontist every month. Not consistent. Highly do not recommend.

While the receptionist was good, and very helpful, the nurse who took the x-rays did more harm then good. I had a broken tooth at the back of my mouth and she jammed the pad in there, hurting more then doing good, while being rude about the whole thing. The doctor was okay with her service, but didn't do a thing her self. Just refereed us to someone else, when I was in excruciating pain. Took less then an hour. Felt like they do all they can to just get you in, and get you out while taking as much money from you as they can. I will never go back to this place. People have fears of dentist, and this place is why.

I had an appointment today for my 3 teeenagers. The office clerk was friendly, but that’s about it. The office was not very clean. The dental assistant was not friendly. I’m pretty sure he was going to try and use the same dental equipment for my three kids but saw me staring at him. Then stopped to go get two more sets. The dentist had no bedside manner. He was very rude and had no compassion. I started the appointment by saying my kids had not been to the dentist in awhile. He made sure to tell me... “this one has the most cavities, this one has the worse cavities, and this one has the dirtiest mouth.” Totally embarrassing my teenagers. We definitely will not be back. I will go back my regular dentist, and pay a little more. I do not recommend this dentist office one bit!

I have been trying to get my refund for a service my son did not receive since February. I always get told to wait two weeks when I call and yet here we are, mid September and still no refund. I have called 6 times and I am very frustrated. During these COVID times, I could really use that refund money ASAP. If it doesn’t get resolved I’ll have to contact the Texas Dental Board to file an official complaint.

My daughter has braces with this dental office! Know that we paid them off there telling me they can't help her with her over bite! Wow I have never liked this place from the start but too much to put another down payment elsewhere! The orthodontist and some of the dentist assistance our so rude to they just come in and work and don't explain what there fixing to do, until you ask! Absolutely would not recommend this place at all. O and had a issue with the contract I signed at the beginning the manager tryed to tell me that I signed a contract saying I would have to pay even if we had to miss a appointment. So I asked can I view my contact well after viewing it there was no agreement to that!! Mmmm so I asked her show me she said o it's in our new contract we have! Lol so she had me sign the new one before they continued her treatment! Like really! So yes my experience with them has been hell!😠😠

They did a really good job I recommend them.

I chose Famila because they accepted my insurance and could get me in for a toothache quicker than anyone else. That’s where the positive experience ends. The facility was dirty and the staff was unfriendly. After expressing my fear and anxiety of dentists the staff did nothing to ease my anxiety. I asked if she could go over the procedure with me and her response was “yes after I go over the financial forms and run your card” I heard the dentist tell her, “run her card and I’ll numb her” the very young dentist was not clinical and asked me if I had any contagious diseases while he had his hand in my mouth. He told me “if you can’t afford a crown in this tooth I suggest you pull it” I never expressed an inability to pay. I WILL not be back and would never recommend anyone to this establishment even in an urgent situation.

Dr Lanke an Ana were really awesome they were fun friendly an made us feel really welcomed.
