New Horizons Dental

Laura is a great hygienist! She is so kind and friendly. I always look forward to my cleaning with her.

My name is Mary Bishop and along with my husband have been going to New Horizon on 4th Plain for over a year. We couldn't be happier with the professionalism, personability, and care from everyone we have met there. A special call out to Dr. Steve and Hillary- they are thorough and take all the time you need to have procedures explained, options offered, and decisions made. We really feel like we are treated like friends with New Horizon and actually look forward to our dental visits!

Since the governer put a halt on phase 2 a few days ago, I thought that New Horizons Dental would be closed following those orders. When I called to get clarification, the lady at the front desk stated that they were open and that they sent an email a couple weeks ago about being open. I hadn't seen that email, so I was concerned with it being safe and what proper gear would be worn while getting my teeth cleaned. After asking these few questions, I can tell she was just trying to get off the with me so I cancelled and rescheduled my appt (1st appt available was 2 months from my original appt). Note, my original appt was 1 week before the states shut down so I had already been waiting for awhile. I'm someone who would have liked to gone in for my PROPHYLAXIS before more of this virus spreads from businesses reopening. I really would have liked to have my awesome regular hygienist Monika do my cleaning today; However, because of the virus, lack of clarity, and the ultimately the lack of customer service at the front desk, I didn't make it to today's appt and I may cancel the appt in July too (if it doesn't cancel itself from everything being shutdown again.) I hope this review will be seen by the owners so they don't lose out on more business, and customers like me can get their teeth taken care of without so much frustration and confusion.

The dentists and hygienists here are professional and caring. When I walked in with ice on my swollen jaw, describing the stabbing pain in my tooth, I was given a free exam and x-rays, treated with care and concern and when my condition worsened the next day, given more (free) care by phone. The office is tough to get out of in a car (can't ever get a chance to turn left, have to turn right and make a U turn down the road), but honestly I won't ever go anywhere else!

My hygienist Laura and all the dentists at New Horizons have always taken great care of me! I have pretty sensitive teeth, and Laura always goes to great lengths to ensure that I am comfortable, and that my teeth get a really good cleaning. I loved my hygienist so much, I married her!! :-)

I had a lot of pain and called them at 7am immediately upon opening. They were able to get me in at 7:30 and really went the extra mile. I have had a lot of dental work done and my issue is complicated. They did not rush the diagnosis and truly took into account and explained everything thoroughly. They did not attempt to push extra dental work and their primary focus was my comfort. I left feeling more satisifed with the service and expertise than any other office I have ever been to. They also had very reasonable prices. I would reccomend to anyone that they visit this clinic.

Front to back this dentist office is the best I have ever been to. It had been way too long since I walked death row to get my pearly whites cleaned and routine maintenance done under the hood. I fought my wife tooth and nail (pardon the pun), but I lost the battle and, under extreme protest, my wife made an appointment for me and I showed up after a sleepless night in fear of judgement day.

From the second I walked through the doors, I was blown away with the caring, personable vibe they had. Rikky was running the check in desk, and was extremely personable. She made me feel a little more at ease with what was about to unfold in back. She could see I was visibly wanting to be anywhere but there at that moment. She checked in with me several times and made conversation to distract me from what was about to happen.

Before I know it I'm getting called back to the chair. Hillary was my hygienist and took such great care of me. She knew how uncomfortable I was and walked me through everything she was going to do. Before she would do something different she would check in with me to make sure I wasn't in pain or having an anxiety attack. Hillary kept conversation with me the entire time, and made me feel more like a friend than a patient. I have never experienced that at any business, let alone a dentist.

I have been there 3 times now and every visit I've had has been amazing. I felt like everyone at New Horizons truly wants to know their patients and genuinely care about making going to the dentist something you look forward to.

Cool having female dentist. Office could use renovation to bring it current in the waiting room, the dentist chairs and an additional imaging room. I had to wait for images and then 2 clients waited while I got my imaging done. Or maybe they should schedule better either way, there’s room for improvement.

I went here to [obviously] get a fairly large amount of dental work done, after being referred by my coworker and initially they were super nice. They weren't judgemental or rude and in general, they were willing to work with my schedule, which at the time was almost impossible because I had a full time job and both of my parents were in and out of the hospital. I had to cancel a couple appointments following the death of my mom and after a few months I called to set up an appointment to do the last but of work I had prepaid for and was told the dentist that was supposed to do it was on vacation and wouldn't be back for a week. Which was fine, so I waited a week and called back and was told there weren't any open appointments for the days I had available and was told to call back in another week just in case there were any cancellations. So I called back and was given the run-around and finally they put me on the phone with the dentist that I had seen the first time I'd ever gone and she said that they wouldn't see me because of my cancellations. Like, ever. And I explained that the reasons for my cancellations were for events out of my control and that I didn't think that was fair and she basically told me that it didn't really matter how I felt about it and then gave me instructions on how to get back the money I had already given them up front to finish my dental work. I was suprised that they would basically kick me to the curb over cancellations, of which there weren't more than three of them, as though I should have kept my appointment instead of taking my mom to the emergency room, or staying with her in the hospital, or anything else more important that came up in my life at the time. So if your life is perfect and you don't have any sick relatives or don't foresee any catastrophic personal events to possibly cause you to have to miss or cancel an appointment, then this is the place for you. And the bonus is, they won't have any reason to mistreat you or show how completely callous and uncaring they are.

Best staff ever, they gave me back the beautiful smile I once had when I was a teenager. I was a tough customer and they were very patient and understanding. I'm am over the top impressed. Thank you New Horizons Dental🤗
