My four year old daughter had a bad experience with an optometrist a while back because they had a slightly more... Aggressive bedside manner. After this, she had some anxiety about most doctors. We found ourselves in a position of needing to have some of her teeth worked on (a fact that I am less than proud of as a parent) and were searching for a provider that would help to calm her little nerves. Dr Miranda came highly recommended by my sister who takes her whole famiy to 2nd Street Dental.
Dr Miranda and the entire staff are AWESOME!! She took the time to talk with my daughter and make her completely comfortable--even going so far as to make her a balloon from a rubber glove--before starting her work. If my daughter ever seemed uncomfortable or anxious, Dr Miranda would stop working just to chat with her and, again, ease her nerves before resuming. People aren't numbers here, they're truly cared for.
I saw that some reviewers disliked the fact that you pay for your services the same day, but I want to say that they gave me a printout of all the expenditures I could expect on my daughter's teeth up front, and before they started any of the work they discussed the cost with me. Nothing was ever a surprise, and I felt that the charges were all fair and reasonable. Also, insurance reimburses me fairly quickly, so it's never been a problem. Even if I didn't get reimbursed, they'd be worth the money. I think it's worth noting that we drive two hours to see them it's so worth it!! LOVE!!

2nd St. Dental is a great family friendly experience. My visits have always been awesome and my boys first experience at the dentist makes them want to go back again and again. Dr. Miranda is very knowledgeable and friendly with everyone. Sam and Jen at the front desk always treat you with a smile as you walk in and Mona has very gentle hands when it comes to cleaning your teeth. Feels like one big family every time we visit. Before I went to Dr. Miranda at 2nd Street Dental I was scared to death of the dentist. I had a very troubling experience at the dentist when I was a kid. As soon as I met her, I knew that she cared about my fears and was very patient and soothing. She was the most gentle dentist that I have ever been to and she explained everything to me before she did it, which I appreciated. I highly recommend her and her staff at 2nd Street Dental. Give her a try, you won't be disappointed!!

Had an emergency while traveling. They saw me the very next day. The front desk greeted me with kindness and compassion; Mandy stayed with me the entire procedure. Dr. Haeffel was gentle, explained my options, and provided the first anxiety-free dentist visit of my life. Her husband even gave us some travel trips for the next leg of our adventure.
