Rockside Dental

I've been with Rockside Dental for over five years, ever since they started in their small office across the street. Dr. Slivka is a cool dude and good at what he does. However, this past year, I have not been happy with the services I received.

The dental hygienists insisted that I grind my teeth (I talked to an orthodontist, periodontist, and another dentist, and they all confirmed I do not). She wanted to sell me nightguards and after I refused it was almost as if she was upset that I did not make the purchase. It felt like she was trying to sell me on a product that she makes a commission on.

I went in for a treatment, was quoted 50 percent out of pocket, and started the treatment, towards the end, they said insurance will no longer cover any of it and that there was a communication error, and I'm now liable for paying the entire bill. Rockside did, however, take the bill down by $200 but the total was stil anotherl $500+ and that's a lot for some people to afford.
The office staff is very rude and unprofessional, they have insisted that I'm wrong, and they are right, told me in person that if I did not pay the remainder of the bill they would send me to collections, and have also told me "It's on you, that's why this is happening".

Lastly, I went in to get a simple crown for my back tooth 7+ months ago, the first visits to the office, the crown he ordered did not fit. I had to leave town for a meeting, upon my arrival back home, I called to make a new appointment, they scheduled me out 6 weeks for a simple crown that was already made (takes 5 minutes to glue a crown on). By the time I made it into the office to get the new crown, the crown did not fit. We tried 3 more times, with no luck. Here I am, 8 months later, after 8+ trips to the dentist (which was 45 minutes away from where I lived) living in a different state now, with no crown or refund. Rockside said they shipped the crown to the dentist of my choice, went to the new dentist and it STILL didn’t fit!
Whenever I ask about a refund, they ignore me, they will "Talk to the doctor", never call me back, etc. I have not heard from them. At this point, I'm not even concerned about the money at this point, I just want my TOOTH FIXED! From a patient who has had over 30 oral surgeries, and seen multiple doctors, dentists, orthodontists, you name it, disappointed.

Very professional, kind, and knowledgeable. The customer service was very good and the building was very clean and inviting. I also enjoyed the ease of scheduling my follow up appointment. Overall I was most impressed with the staff! They made me feel like I was at home. I definitely am glad I made the move to Rockside.

Nobody enjoys going to the dentist of course, but this was pleasant.
Let me explain why.
My doctor was very personable, he explain everything in ways that I understood... the staff was very polite and caring and the facility was very very clean.
I will not go anywhere else.😁

First time at this practice. A friend highly recommended Rockside Dental and I wasn't disappointed. I went for a consultation. Everyone was welcoming and friendly. The waiting room had a very relaxed feeling. I thought the dentist, Dr Jackson, listened to my concerns and didn't rush me. Based on my first visit to this dental practice I wholeheartedly recommend them!

New patient experience was excellent, office is fast and efficient. X-Rays and assessment completed in timely manner. Didn't have to wait past appt time.

I was late 30 min for my appointment, I was stuck in traffic more then 40 min, they called me , and told me to not worry and drive safely, and they will see what can do. They found me higienistas, to not reschedule my appointment. And she was amazing.. Thank you

So far great experience. I have been putting off the dentist for no good reason it seems! Just kidding... I have some repairs needed requiring a few return visits but so far the admin, techs, hygienist, and doctor were all extremely welcoming, sincere, and professional. On time with everything, and well communicative. They didn't even lay on the guilt trip although I was expecting it and well deserving... 😳 Great experience so far.

Having broken two teeth to popcorn, Rockside Dental saw me three days after the incident. They were kind and professional. Dr. Slivka showed me my xrays and explained that I would need two crowns and a root canal. He was empathetic and professional. The office manager provided me an estimate for the two crowns I'll be needing, as well as a referral to Hobeich Endodontics for the root canal. I'm very pleased with my experience with Dr. Slivka and Rockside Dental.

Beautiful office, friendly staff. Jen did my cleaning and was great! Very kind, gentle, and made it a very easy and pain free experience!
