I made an appointment for a cleaning and they ended up recommending a deep cleaning and other procedures which would have cost me around $815. I told them I was a college student on a budget and would think about it but I couldn’t do it right now. (They wouldn’t do a regular free cleaning my insurance paid for). The hygienist was very pushy and kept telling me I needed to get started right now and followed me all the way to the checkout desk. I have never been to a dentist office that did this and I was highly embarrassed because I couldn’t afford it and she just kept going on about needing to start the procedures that day. I will not be back and have since moved to Jordan Dentistry.
Response back: I understand that what I was asking for (a regular cleaning) might not have been what you guys recommend but I could only do what I can afford and you guys should understand that. Again, I am in college and my parents do not fund me. I fund myself. I try to budget and plan accordingly and the dental hygentist was pushy about starting the procedure that day to me. She wasn’t relaying any messages to the front desk. The lady from the front desk went back at the end of my assessment to give me a print out of what was recommended so they already knew and I signed it back there. I told her I would call back and make an appointment because I needed to budget and plan for it and the dental hygentist kept going about how it couldn’t wait. Very unprofessional and it felt like she was a sales person who wouldn’t stop.
