Stunning Smiles of Las Vegas

I had a great experience at Stunning Smiles of Las Vegas. Karrah, the hygienist was very thorough and Dr. Racanelli took his time explaining everything to me. The office was very clean and the front desk staff were friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend Stunning Smiles to everyone!

Dentist I have seen for about 10 years sent me a certified letter they no longer wish to help me with any dentist work after I questioned a quote for a $1900 crown replacement. My insurance said that was way too high. I found another dentist for a $600 quote for same crown replacement.

When I told them I needed to go elsewhere for crown replacment due to their higher expense they told me do not bother coming to our office for any future work of any kind.

Think twice before going here please. I was a long term client and this is how I was treated. Get more than one estimate for dental work and do what is right for you and your family's budget.

I was So lost when I was trying to find out where I wanted to go To get my Invisalign until I stumbled upon stunning smiles with Dr. Racanelli I couldn’t be happier that I chose to go with them the service they provide is unmeasured so personable and everyone is so kind so excited to see my teeth at the end of my Invisalign! I even got a cleaning and it was pristine I highly recommend stunning smiles and gladly will to anyone!

I was going to give like 4.5-5 stars up until the end of my appointment. Here’s the rundown:
Jennifer/front desk staff were very nice. They were able to get me in almost 3 weeks ahead of my original appt.

showed up- super comfy couch in waiting area, I noticed 2 other patients came in, both of which the staff addressed them by name when they came in.

Rachel (I’m pretty sure) took me back and gave me a tour- nice and clean office, a little braggy about the awards they’ve received (where I deduct a small percentage) had a super cool in house crown making machine and 3D technology.

VERY thorough exam. Full set of digital expats and photos. Not so pleasant fun evaluation (aka they stab the gums around each tooth to check health) I also have terrible gums so maybe it was worse for me.

Dr came by, took a look. Dr and Rachel were great, really nice. Didn’t badger me or harass me about my sub par habits. After about a total of an hour and 15 minutes in the chair I was escorted by a young woman (missed her name, started with a C) to discuss treatment/payment.

It’s at this point where they drop to 3 stars. All I needed was a deep clean. Their standard of care requires the use of a laser to kill germs etc which is not covered by ANY insurance. ALSO -MAIN POINT HERE- my treatment (aka a deep cleaning) is NOT covered at their office. When I originally booked my first appointment I asked if they accepted culinary insurance. I was told they do.... which is half true because culinary will cover initial exam and X-rays but not treatment. I realize it’s partially my fault and I should have clarified my question but I’m also annoyed that I was misinformed. Either this is a training/information problem with the front desk or a shady way to get people in. I’m glad I didn’t actually have to pay for anything at the time. They’ve sent me my records per my request but all dentists I’ve called require I do X-rays for them. So I’ll have to pay to start over.

Friendly, knowledgeable, caring, and gentle. No one is a fan of the dentist, and most have a fear of going to the dentist. Dr. Racanelli and his staff are amazing!! They are so warm and understanding they put me at ease. I highly recommend them.

Dr. Racanelli is a craftsman, an oral artist. Of course he's medically well informed, but it's for his artistry and genuine concern for the patient's appearance that have earned my recommendation. That and his genuine concern for the patient's comfort, up to and including providing his personal phone number if pain or other discomfort might require his attention on his time off.
I assure you, if you're looking for a really good dentist, this is your guy.

My visit to Stunning Smiles have well exceeded my expectations. Here are a few reasons why I have come to this conclusion.

Customer service: You are always greeted with a smile, treated professionally and with courtesy. Seems to be a lost art these days.

Facility: I was given a tour of the facility. This was unexpected, but a delight. I was impressed by the cleanliness of the facility, and the sterilization area, - all of paramount interest.

Technology / Skill: I am a patient of old technology, practices, and materials. None of that here; complete use of the most advance techniques and space age materials. These combined with the exceptional dental skills of Dr. Racanelli, provides you with the perfect, color and fit for all your dental needs.

Casey Proano, is the main Dental Assistant. She is very knowledgeable, caring individual who is both calming and comforting while sitting in the dental chair:)

I give 5 stars. From the Receptionist to the Dentists. They are welcoming and very professional. They make you feel comfortable and at ease. If a friend needed one; I'll highly recommend Stunning Smiles of Las Vegas. The place is very clean and the equipments are state of the art. Thank you for explaining what has to be done and for giving consideration on attending to my dental needs on an emergency basis.Thank you Dr. Richard Racanelli for the follow up call to find out if I was okay and if I got an appointment at the Las Vegas Endodontics. Dr. Richard was very caring and knew exactly what I needed done with my teeth. The staff was awesome very nice. Kennedy gave me a nice tour of the office and was very nice. I'm going back this Thursday I'm excited to see what's next for me thank you Dr. Richard you were 😎 awesome!!!🙏

Dr Rancanelli and staff are wonderful. The doctor studied at Villanova and dental school at University of Penn. Both schools are highly esteemed. His office has a nice comfortable flow and is very clean.

They provide very reasonable cash pay prices, with deals for yearly cleaning packages. They give prices upfront so there is no surprise. They also accept certain dental care discount programs like Aetna care.

I received a full oral exam which included more X-rays than I have ever had. They also photographed every tooth and angle possible. Dr R conducted the periodontal check him self and is very gentle. I received this comprehensive exam for $60 using a mailer they sent.
It was worth every penny. I came to him because he treated my son on and emergency basis at the end of a long day when a local pediatric dentist refused because they didn't want to stay late. This was my step son and he was crying profusely in pain. Dr Rancanelli remembered him by name on my personal visit and was concerned for him. They really care, are clean you can tell they do good work! I highly recommend them. If your cash, discuss your options or buy a dental saving plan to help with costs If needed. They are worth what they charge

I recently had a cavity. My last experience with a dentist requiring numbing was long ago and somewhat horrific. Dr. R and his staff numbed my gum well with gel prior to injections and I literally didn't feel anything. He removed that internal anxiety I had towards dental treatment. Again, his office was spotlessly clean and he staff at their best. The whole office takes pride in their workplace which helps. I'm headed jack for a free bite exam to see if I can get Invisalign!! I highly recommend this office. Also I can't tell I have a filling. It feels normal and look like my tooth!!

Almost 7 months in for Invisalign propel. My teeth are straight and this procedure saved me a year longer. I do wear my pieces at least 21 hours a day thou. Amazing work.

10 month update on Invisalign. Almost done, my teeth look better than when I had braces as a kid. I can’t belive Dr. R cleaned up my smile is such a short time!
