Goodness gracious. Where do I begin?

I’ve visited twice for routine cleanings and checkups. My combined wait time for those appointments was north of 3 hours.

First visit, in the afternoon, was 2 hours.

So, next time, I booked the first available slot in the morning, 8:00am.

Upon arrival, I’m told their system made a mistake and shouldn’t have allowed an existing patient to book an 8:00 appointment, as those are for new customers only. I was told to wait until 9:00, despite being the first one there, and hey, guess what, my 8:00am slot that you THOUGHT was for a new patient, is now free, because I’m not new!

I feel like a number, not a person at this dentist. And the only reason I come here is because it’s the only place in town covered by my insurance.

Giving serious thought to just dropping insurance and paying out of pocket to go to my former dentist, Concho Valley Family Dental, with Dr. Fandel, who is absolutely wonderful.

The staff are friendly and the dentists are really good, but the prices are high. I was told I needed an evaluation before my cleaning because I hadn't been there for 6 months. No, I just needed a cleaning. I feel they are too pushy in recommending pricey treatments and wanted to sell me an electric toothbrush that was way overpriced. I said no, but it was on my bill when I went to leave. I will be looking for another dentist.

I just wanted a teeth cleaning, but after insisting on X-Rays and an exam, I was told I had gingivitis that needed a 2 appointment treatment plan. I'm pregnant and haven't had any swelling or bleeding, but they still pushed. The consultant told me it'd cost $455 even with my insurance and was incredibly pushy for me to pay and do it that day. Luckily, I got out of there to see on the plan they were trying to charge me $135 for an Oral B toothbrush. They were incredibly shady about it. Definitely a scam

This Aspen dental here in San Angelo is the worst customer service i have ever experience. My son lives in Austin TX but goes to Angelo State University. He had all four of his wisdom tooth pulled here in Austin about a week and half ago.He called me and stated he was having sever pain where one of the wisdom tooth was pulled. So we called the Aspen dental in San Angelo.First of all the person answer the phone needs training very bad customer service. My son told her the situation and told her he was and pain. She said they were short staff and they were booked and that they couldn't
see him till the end of the month. Her words i dont know what to tell you. I couldn't believe what she said. So i called corporate they act like they was so concern state they would call the office but really didn't resovle anything.
So my son had to drive 4hrs back to Austin to get seen.

Broken teeth! Terrible infection and didn't pick up doctor bills or the local oral surgeon they hired because they couldn't pull the infected tooth that had an incorrect root canel on! Not to mention the incorrect side of crown! Would not do whats right and fix it, but dismissed me as a patient! The broken tooth was never fix and they think its ok to treat people this way!

Had a great experience this week. Had one child scheduled for cleaning and was able to get the other child scheduled for the exact same time. The secretary was kind and helpful. I did not have my new dental insurance card and with a few information items from me, she was quickly able to get insurance information and tell me deductible and out of pocket cost for procedures. Hygienist were extra friendly and kind to my kids as they took x-rays and cleaned their teeth. They then put sealants on the permanent teeth as soon as the cleaning was complete so I did not have to make a new appointment and come back. They then scheduled BOTH kids again for the same time 6 months out as per insurance. Dentist was nice, quick, and efficient. Highly recommend.

Really disappointed as a new patient waiting an hour for my appointment. What's worse is someone came in an hour early for an 1100 appointment and asked to be seen sooner and they took him back. I'm going to look for a new dentist in town. Perhaps they shouldn't schedule so many patients back to back. It seems, based on reviews, they are consistently behind.

Super friendly. I was pretty embarassed about my bottom teeth, been waiting ten years to have them fixed. My husband's cancer took precedence. A plan was discussed and quickly arranged.
The one negative was that I actually believed the prices listed but nope. Not for me. Be cautious of this.

As you know everyone is always apprehensive about going to see a dentist. Aspen Dental put my mom's fear at rest. The atmosphere is quiet yet peaceful. The staff is very friendly. We found the Doctor very open and knowledgeable. She allowed us to ask several questions and didn't make us feel inferior. I would recommend this practice to anyone.

Please avoid this place like the plague!! They are always trying to up charge you for everything. Please look at your bill before you pay for anything. Pay 40 bucks for a small tube of toothpaste and 40 bucks for the fluorine use during the treatment. They never mention once those things would not be covered by insurance and now I'm left with paying for 80bucks to my insurance on top of paying $45 just for the visit the day of. They also tried to charge me for that $135 toothbrush but I caught that one in time before they charged me. I had an appointment at 9am in the morning I came in 15 mins early at 845 to be a bit early but they didn't call me back until 945am. Please do yourself a favor and take your business somewhere else. This place is really shady.
