I was not looking forward to the need for lower dentures and chose to go the rout or implants. Dr Gaunt recommended 2 implants as I couldn't afford to break the bank. I now have a denture that is in place with 2 implants and I can't say enough about how happy I am so I will just say thank you Dr. Gaunt for improving the quality of my life. Being able to eat what I want is more than a pleasure but euphoric. I have experimented with nuts, corn on the cob, even beef jerky and they are fabulous. Thank you again and I highly recommend Dr. Gaunt and his pleasant staff.

Dr. Gaunt replaced my two front crowns I have had since I was 15 years old and now I am 59. He was very meticulous in sizing, shaping, fitting and color matching and spent adequate time to achieve those results. This is the best dental care I have ever had in the life. With my summer teeth (some are over here, while some are over there), and all the dentists that I've used in my near half century, this is by far the most respectful, responsive, and fun (I know, right?!) Dentist office I have ever been to.
It's the little things, like slowly injecting the numbing stuff in the needle so the shot itself doesn't hurt to helping me remember appointments when I ask them to. Downriver Smiles is easily the most accommodating office I have ever been in. It's like visiting with in-laws that you like, rather than a business venture. Thanks for making me fabulous, year after year.

Downriver smiles is a great dental office. Not only do the staff actually care about you, but Dr. Gaunt is a great dentist. Over the years, I have went to many dental offices. I hear they are great at fixing teeth but could not get that far. Despite their professionally-made strict COVID policy signs out front, the staff could care less about protections. I had to as them multiple times to put on masks IN A CLINIC. After enough of that I cancelled my appointment and walked out. My wife continued but, as someone else pointed out, the staff is too lazy to pre-clear with insurance and so everything is a surprise. They sent us a bill for films as our insurance denied them. If they had waited 2 more weeks for the films, they would have been covered. Other clinics understand that the general public is not familiar with all of these rules and so they do their due diligence and communicate their findings with you. Not these folks, that's just too much work. You should know your own dental insurance rules 100% so when you go to an office they don't have to do anything else except send the bill (that's sarcasm in case you can't tell).

This may be shallow, BUT THE PRICE!! Because of insurance, last year I had to go elsewhere after discovering I was out of network. Insurance changed, I returned here, and the experience PLUS the rates were absolutely amazing!!!
How so? Well, I was offered an array of things to help calm nerves, and although I didn't need all of them, it was incredibly comforting to be told they were not only available, but at no extra charge!! Next, the care. My comfort was of utmost importance. I was a person. Professionalism was foremost, with familiarity growing as my mood and personality were evaluated.
The rates were NOT at the high end of the other place I went, and I made certain they knew that. Out of pocket/deductible were completely manageable, and once my Care Credit was presented, Rhonda stated she would bill accordingly so I would get the longest interest-free period available.
Near to home, friendly, cost-conscious, care, professionalism, and so much more, I will be a life-long client!
