Forest Family Dentistry

Definitely the best dentistry around. Nice ambiance (Anderson), and great staff—everyone is so nice and friendly. They're very big on no stress or shame, and overall it's a really chill, uplifting experience every time. You can watch Netflix, and they have these tiny, handheld x-ray machines they use that I think are pretty cool.

This dentist office is fantastic. We live two hours from Austin and still make the drive in to see the Forest Family. They are extremely and genuinely responsive to each individual's needs. Other dentist offices may state that your concerns come first, I have never found one until I went to Forest Family Dentistry. We typically see Dr. Rick. He is extremely laid back, attentive, and precise. I have never waited more than 5 minutes to be seen. I didn't want to write a review because I wanted to keep this office my little secret. The team definitely deserves the kudos though.

I needed a last-minute appointment to fix a chipped tooth. I was able to book in quickly. Reception staff were lovely, and Dr Disla and Karla did a fantastic job getting my smile looking as it should again :) Highly recommended!

Have been going here for a few years, had amazing service today (want everyone to know!), & I won’t ever go anywhere else for dental care. Marcey is seriously the best hygienist- I have never had cleaner teeth than I do today, & she’s so nice! Dr. Hughes is so patient, friendly, & knowledgeable. Front desk staff is always great- I basically can’t say enough great things!

As a first time patient at Forest Family Dentistry I had a positive experience. The staff was nice and always asked if I had any questions or concerns from start to finish. It was nice to be able to watch Netflix on the ceiling while getting my teeth cleaned, however my hygienist was a bit rough even though I told her that I have sensitive gums and they tend to get inflamed during cleanings. I'm not sure if she could tell that I was flinching every so often but she seemed to almost be in a rush and not paying full attention to whether or not it was making me feel uncomfortable. I did end up with a couple of sores on my gums and under my tongue after the teeth cleaning. I will probably ask for a different hygienist next time.

After the cleaning I talked with Dr. Meagan Scarborough who thoroughly explained my x-rays and the treatments available, including fillings and invisalign. She was super nice and addressed all of my questions and concerns and talked to me about some ways I could prevent further cavities (using a toothbrush with a smaller head and a prescription strength toothpaste available for purchase at the office). The staff at the front desk also gave me detailed information about my treatment options, the financing available, and how much my insurance would cover. They made sure that I fully understood the treatment plan which was really helpful!

Overall it was a pretty good experience, I would just hope that the other hygienists are a little more careful and able to pick up on signs of discomfort!

They are nice, but I have only come here because I bought the prepaid service to save money. I guess you get what you pay for, and it's still expensive! I've had the same fillings fixed 3 times in 6 months. Every time I come here I'm being sold on products or services, and not educated on what my personal oral needs are. I can't ever keep the same doctor due to schedule, and after 3 years of coming here they never seem to remember me or any of the procedures I've had and I'm the one letting them know. This is not professional or what I expect from my dentist, and is not my experience with the amazing dentist I had growing up. Now that I live in Austin finding a good dentist has been so hard and wanted to give Forest Family a chance. Unfortunately I think I'll need to find a new dentist again that can make a filling last more than a couple of months as well take the time to understand my needs instead of selling me products or services that aren't applicable to my personal oral health.

In my opinion and from experience Dr Bethel and everyone at Forest Family Dentistry are the best in Austin. Not only are they highly competent and kind, they also have the most modern equipment and diagnostic tools. Love their toys!

We have been going to Forest Family since moving to Austin. They have been amazing with our two daughters as they grow up. We’ve never received this level of care from a dentistry! Highly recommend, Dr. Bethell and his amazing staff will have you covered!

Really where can I start. As a employee and just innocent bystander. FFD...is just amazing. From the staff making each other feel encouraged and positive , to making the patients feel like family. I have never worked somewhere where everyone is willing to stop and help you. Their considerate, hospitable and just all around amazing. To the patients they demonstrated such gentle, cheerful care . Always willing to work with someone if they left their card at home or ran late. They really care and it shows. I give FFD five starts. 6 if I could. And the owner was super cool too. Really down to earth and made everyone feel welcome. If I could recommend a perfect dentist office to someone this would be it.

Forest Family Dentistry is terrific. I'm not a fan of anything dental, but the lovely staff and really skilled dentists here might actually change my mind. They are considerate, kind, welcoming and take great care with their work.
