Bear Creek Family Dentistry - North Dallas

I have been bringing my daughter to this location since she was 2 years old (she’s now seven!). The staff here are always courteous, outgoing and very kind. The front desk greets us as soon as we walk in and let’s not forget the cute tokens of picture taking they do for our family while in the waiting room that they put on a pennant or key ring so we can take home and remember our visit. The waiting room is ALWAYS clean, even the cinema and play area for the kids to enjoy. Our past couple of years Dr.Svetlana has done procedures and checkups on my daughter, and she’s AWESOME! Dr.S is so helpful in keeping us informed on what’s going on with my daughters teeth, and when we are doing the exam she always catches up with us about what’s going on in our lives, super sweet, it’s like being in such a comforting environment. My daughter is usually nervous about the dentist and sometimes can be squirmish in the chair, but this is not ever a problem for the staff here. They are always patient and able to cheer my daughter on and reassure her confidence whether they are doing a basic cleaning or more detailed dental work. I love it here. I’m always reminded of my appointments ahead of time by a courtesy call and if the need to reschedule, the staff is always willing to accommodate my schedule. This location and the staff are AWESOME!! If I could give more stars I would, five years and they have done an awesome job with assisting my daughters dental health!

Fun atmosphere for my daughter but we waited for our appointment for over 1 hour. I thought they were going to see my daughter and I at the same time which is why I made the appointment, but they didn't.They made us wait even longer inside the room and had a major problem when I said I did not want Xrays. I said forget seeing me and it still took 2 hrs just to see my daughter. Dr was not nice at all.

I highly recommend Dr.Simonovich. She and her staff are friendly, knowledgable, and make you feel very comfortable. She asks questions, listens well to your comments, and provides great explanation and suggestions. The entire staff is wonderful, and I feel confident in the care my daughter received! I highly recommend!...

I been taking my kids here for 2 years now. They are wonderful people. Even more with this covid going on. We were able to wait in car till time to be seen. They even constantly were cleaning the place.

I've had to amend my initial 5 start review because I've remembered some things after my cavity filling where they used nitrous oxide.

The good: The staff is very friendly and the office is set up nicely for children. There is a climbing tube play area for small children, like you find in some fast foods restaurants. They have several TVs playing cartoons. They will use nitrous oxide if you want it.

The bad: The tooth cleaning didn't feel nearly as comprehensive as my old retired dentist, and it may have been too rushed to be effective. To my recollection, no tool scraping was done and no brushing was done. The dentist did the cleaning, rather than a hygenist. During that same time, I had a cavity filled and sealant put on my molars to prevent more cavities. It all seemed to happen fast, but I was on nitrous oxide at the time, so I have to admit my mind was altered. I can tell you my teeth didn't feel as clean and worked over as at my old dentist after the appointment. I'm hoping the level of care is equivalent to my old dentist, but I can't say for sure.

The ugly: I feel concerned for the assistant who helped with the x-rays at the beginning of my visit. She had no lead apron that I remember, no radiation check badge, and she held the digital x-ray sensor in place for my roughly 20 x-rays with her hands while someone else shot the x-ray from behind a wall. I'm used to the x-ray device being placed in my mouth, the person walking behind a shielded wall, and the x-ray being taken. I'm concerned about the amount of radiation exposure that assistant is getting. That's cumulative radiation damage that she's suffering over time, even though she said she was told it was a small amount. The woman who shot the x-ray went behind the wall, but the assistant never left. I hope she doesn't suffer any ill effects from the radiation.

Dr. Simonovich she is great at what she does! Very professional and does a great job! Jessica always has a big smile all the time, and Abby always makes you feel welcome! Everyone at this place provide great service!

Awesome staff. Patty was really helpful and nice. Doctor was very good and friendly helpful.

The staff was great! They were kind and compassionate, and everyone made an effort to get to know me. Despite being my first time here in ages, it felt as if i had known them for years. I was always weary about going to the dentist, but not so much after coming here.

If you want a dentist with poor beside manner and a heavy hand, sure go here. From the moment I met Dr. Shin she was short and rude with me. I had a massive amount of pain and had to have a tooth extracted in an emergency and she did not listen to my concerns from the start. When the pain continued days later, even after taking up to 6 ibuprofen a day, she told me to come back in for a new script. I drove 19 miles after work in traffic only for her to tell her staff not to give me the script that was already written out. Her words “go get some Tylenol.”

This blatant disregard for my needs is exactly why black women are dying under doctor’s care at an alarming rate. I will never recommend this dentist or this franchise to anyone and will write this review everywhere I can until Dr. Shin is out of practice. If I could give zero stars, I would.

My kids are always taken cared of . All the ladies are super sweet with the kids . All of Bearcreek ladies help us feel welcomed .
