My family moved to the area from out of state and this was our first experience with a chain dental office. It was clear that their corporate structure and rules are not for us. For an example, we are a family of four but they were only able to see 3 of us for a exam appointment citing company policy on how many family members can be seen at one time requiring a separate appointment on a different day for our 4th family member. While staff was friendly enough, the experience felt very plastic and profit driven with each member of my family shuttled from room to room for x-rays, then a hygienist, then to be examined by a dentist. The next person we saw was the billing manager who presented us a proposed treatment plan for the family which included over $3000 of uncovered costs beyond what my excellent dental insurance plan covered. This plan included $100 electric toothbrush for each of us and what they deemed was an uncovered but "necessary" early gingivitis treatment for each of us that required a series of appointments. The lengthy spiel about explaining the proposed treatments and financing felt a bit like a time-share pitch than a dental appointment in our opinion. When we pointed out that we were there simply there first and foremost for a cleaning, we were told that the office could not do the cleaning without our also first doing the gingivitis treatment for liability reasons. We left this Monarch office without a cleaning and have since gone to a private dental practice where the dentist is engaged with the entire family from walking in the door to x-rays to cleaning, exam, and dental work and has worked with us on a flexible dental treatment plan. The Monarch dental experience, especially the way the billing and treatment plan was pushed, was not for us and may not be for your family either.

The staff here is awesome! The dentist was nice, the treatment counselor Kayla helped me afford everything, and the dental assistant kept me calm thru the treatment. Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a friendly office with great experienced dentist.

I loved Dr. Horner and the staff. However, the company will scam you. I went in for a check up and got assessed for some additional work. They quoted me $1200 for the services. I paid the the entire $1200 as quoted on the day of the appointment. I had to go back a few times for adjustments and every single time I went in, I stopped by the desk to see if I needed to pay any additional charges for the adjustment. Every single time, I was told that there would be no additional charges and that my account was paid in-full. Several weeks later, some sketchy third party starts leaving messages that I owe them money for services provided by monarch. I tried to contact monarch about issues with my account but I got no response. A few weeks after that, I get a bill from monarch in the mail for $150 with zero details as to why there are suddenly new charges. Okay, fine. I'll just pay it. I sent them a check. They deposited it. Another few weeks later, I get a notice from a debt collector stating I owe $150. I thought maybe monarch had contacted the debt collector before receiving the check so I contact the debt collector to inform them the check was sent. They go ahead and put the $150 as "In dispute." Cool, once Monarch confirms with the debt collector that they deposited the check, we can all get on with our lives. Nope. Another few weeks go by and the debt collector says the dispute isn't valid because monarch is claiming they have not gotten the $150 they randomly decided I owed even though I have bank records stating they received and deposited it. So, this is a new extra $150 charge after the previous new extra $150 that was tacked onto the original quote and payment of $1200??? ABSOLUTE SCAM. That, or they have absolutely no idea what they are doing there. Either way, if you value your time, your money, and transparency, AVOID MONARCH DENTAL AT ALL COSTS.

Update: I just received an itemized statement from Smile Brands that shows Monarch actually owes me $150 when calculated correctly. I received the statement on the same day I got another notice from their debt collector saying I owe them a new $150 for Monarch services.

After checking out other reviews, I have found that I am not the only one this kind of bait and switch scam has happened to. I'm just glad I waited to post a review until well into this debacle. Before they started working this scam on me, I would have given 5 stars.

I have had difficulty finding a dental office that I liked since moving to the area. From scheduling my appointment until it was completed, everyone was very kind and helpful. I came after school, which put me there a little late. Kayla and Denise stayed to accomodate me and were very sweet. I am glad to have found a new dentist!

Knowing that most offices are very busy and this is probably due to Covid... my temperature was not checked and I did ask to be checked and to sign the letter. I did check in a half hour before my appt at 10:30 however did my paperwork in my truck due to too many people in the lobby (I am over cautious due to my aging parents) I waited until 12:30 and was then invited into the surgery room. I waited again and two trials of pricking the iv into my vein and my veins rolled however the third try was a charm:)) I waited until 1:30 ish and by 2:00 I believe I had the tooth taken out and the implant placed in at which took about 45 minutes to an hour. Lol, I do remember someone saying that my mouth was small:)) however Dr. Siv apologized about the wait... I would rather wait and have a successful surgery than to have a much hurried one:)) The office staff is kind at which I truly appreciate especially Erin 😉 I am looking forward to the successful crown that will be placed and appreciate the pain meds and the extra strength antibiotics that was given me:) The doc was very pleasant and answered a lot of questions because this surgery is my first one... much thanks to the staff and Dr. Siv skilled craftsmanship!!

We came in to have a silver crown replaced that my son had worn down. As a parent I was a little anxious about the procedure, but the staff was so great. The dentist explained everything to my son and had such a calm demeanor that everything went off without a hitch. They praised my son for his braveness and made him feel special. We have used Monarch for 7 years and I have been very pleased.

What a fantastic place! I was a new patient and was a little fearful. Everyone was amazing. I had my x-rays and exam. The hygienist talked to me and then the doctor consulted with me. Everyone was so kind. I had my exam, cleaning and an extraction all in one day. I will be back!❤️
