Franklin Dental Center in Tyler

The cleaning was great!!! The problem I had was about billing, on my first visit I chose them because they are in network, meaning all is covered, I pay nothing. They asked about X-rays and I said if it is covered by insurance that is fine. Come to find out they were taking them one month too soon. So I get a bill for $77 dollars for the X-rays!! I called and spoke with someone and told them I’m not paying cause of the way it happened. I had to make a couple more calls and thought I had it taken care of until I go yesterday. I received a text the night before saying I was going to have to pay the $77 at my appointment, I called the office and asked to speak to the person who could take care of this. I was put on hold and thought the person who came back was the billing person I explained everything to her and told her I was not paying it! She said “ok”. I go to my appointment a little early to talk about the money issue. No one would talk to me about it. After my appointment as I’m leaving I was told I had to pay it, I was very upset and finally agreed to pay half, she said she would ask the doctor if that was ok, cause the “insurance girl” was at lunch, I don’t know if she talked to the dr or not but she said it had to ALL be paid. I paid it but I am not happy about the way everything was handled!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Very unprofessional if you ask me!!!

HORRIBLE OFFICE STAFF! Unorganized, lied about verifying my insurance, canceled my appointment without my knowledge. My family will not be back. It's a shame because Dr. Franklin-Pitts is an excellent dentist but her staff is lacking professionalism and decency.

Dr. Franklin has been my dentist for over 10 years and it has always been a pleasant experience. Her staff is always professional, friendly, and accommodating. Dr. Franklin is personable and easy to talk to. I always get the feeling that she cares about me and all of my dental matters. I’m thankful that she’s my dentist and I am always happy to refer her to others.

Val was superbly friendly and worked me in the same hour I called. Dr. Franklin-Pitts was delightful, she had a soft touch and calming demeanor that put me instantly at ease. She was funny and bright and made my fear of dentists melt away. I highly recommend this Dentist and her staff.

Very friendly staff. Dr. Pitts was very good with the work and very gentle, after pain was very minimal. Only reason for 4 stars vs. 5 is the wait after being taken back and payment required while in the chair. I have never had that before, always paid after work was done on the same visit.

She took the time to explain every detail of my procedure and what was needed. If I could rate a ten I would. This will definitely be my new dental center.

I would give them no stars if it would let me. This place is not professional at all. First they told me they could work with my insurance and my discount plan together which was my specific question and why I was changing to them. Their website was encouraging that financial reason should not prevent you from having your dental work and they will work with you. They were very reassuring they would work with me and wanted to know when I wanted to come in. Bull, Bull, Bull. They just wanted to get me to schedule and then when I showed up for my appointment, I spent an hour there only to find out they would not take both plans and would not work with me. All the staff I spoke with would not speak up despite the fact I kept asking them to and explaining I was very hard of hearing. To top it off after I left their office I find out they called me twice and left me 2 messages while I was sitting right in front of them in their office. I was not late to my appointment. I brought my paperwork filled out, yet one message was wanting me to call to let them know if I was running late how much later would I be. REALLY!!!!!! This is not the kind of care anyone wants and most definitely when you are in pain. If this is the kind of service I got just at the front desk, maybe it is a good thing I didn't make it back for treatment. Who knows what would have happened. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE.

I love Dr. Pitts. She is the best dentist I have used in Tyler, TX. Her staff is friendly and they help with getting your appointment together as well as going over procedures and pricing.

I just moved to Tyler from Dallas when a crown began hurting. I contacted Franklin Dental and was able to get in the next day even though the COVID-19 lockdown was in effect. Dr. Franklin and all of her staff were very personable and it was determined that I needed a new crown. I was given an appointment the next business day and Dr Franklin was able to replace the crown within a couple of hours. Overall I was very pleased with the care and service that i received.
