I had been scared of the dentist for 9 years before my friend convinced me to try here. It was one of the smartest decisions that I ever made.
Not only is Mendota a very friendly place to go they also do amazing work and work around your schedule. As soon as you walk in Denitza is so helpful and friendly that you can't do anything but smile and feel at ease. You also never really have to wait long (which for me was wonderful) even when you arrive early. Once in the chair they are great about letting you know what the plan is and time estimates so you are never suprised! Dr. Jacoby, who I saw, was also very friendly and understanding. Making sure I knew any and all follow-up and helping ease my nervousness.

I really had a nice experience here! The decor in the office is soothing, and they offer coffee and small bottles of water while you wait. My appointment was handled efficiently and competently by both the dental assistant, as well as Dr. Zhang. Dr. Zhang is really personable, and she even offered recommendations for an upcoming trip that I'm taking.

Called initially for an urgent dental exam, I was seen within two days (I probably could've been seen that same day but it wouldn't work with my schedule). Everyone was very friendly, from the person who answered the phone to schedule my appointment to the front office staff. The waiting area is modern and comfortable, coffee available, water, tv, wi-fi. Hygienist was very nice, asked several questions to get clarification about my problem, explained some possible causes, took xrays and explained everything she was doing. She also listened to me when I explained what was happening. When the dentist came in, he was very friendly, asked about my problem, listened to my explanation, asked questions before he examined my teeth. After examining my teeth, he offered an explanation to why I was having problems and suggested several options for treatment. He listened to my questions and answered them without judgement and I felt I had resolution of my issue. Needless to say, I'll be back in January for my new patient cleaning. Fabulous people.

I scheduled a teeth cleaning service and asked over and over again if it would be covered by my insurance being assured that it would be. I show up for my “teeth cleaning” and all that happens is their dental hygienist pokes around in my mouth, recommends a $800 procedure, and verbally makes fun of me. No scaling, cleaning, flossing, polishing, or fluoride is done. They then have the audacity to send me a almost $200 bill. The facilities might be nice but the people aren’t. Their goal is to bleed you dry of your money, not oral health.

Everyone was very kind, professional and prompt. No waiting around at all. Good services, and prices seem fair. No one enjoys going to the dentist, but they made it as quick and painless as possible.

I decided to check Mendota Springs out after hearing about them from a coworker. I went to get a mild toothache checked out as well as to get a routine cleaning. The employees were all very nice and seemed like they really knew what they were doing. The location was also convenient for coming straight from work at Epic. I'd definitely recommend Mendota Springs to others!

I don’t ever write reviews, but this experience left me traumatized.
I went in for a new patient cleaning and I couldn’t even finish the cleaning! First off, I had told the Hygienist KRISTEN that my teeth are very sensitive, lots of gum pain and molar pain she just gave me a blank stare. No reassurance that they’ll take care of me. I knew it was going to be bad after that impression, I was right. She cared less if I was having pain or concerns. She told me that they were “short staffed” so she was going to do my cleaning “differently” so I can be done with my appt sooner, basically RUSHED me.
Well “differently” was interesting, I was helping her do her job, when I am NOT a dental assistant, she made me hold the water suction tool, while she sprayed water to the back of my mouth & drilled my molars & gums...at this point I also had a hard time breathing, water was filling up at the back of my throat and I couldn’t suck the water out fast enough, so I swallowed some. I kept raising my hand telling her it was painful as well, she’ll stop, give me a irritated look and continue to apply the same amount of pressure and drilled even harder this time. I started to bleed. It filled up my mouth and I had her stop and I spat the blood out on my bib. I told her I was bleeding and she blamed me for making myself bleed Bc I was “jerking”. At this point I felt so disrespected I got up, grabbed my purse and headed for the door. Dr. Jacoby (one of the owners) stopped me from leaving and took me in a room to talk to me. I told him what happened. He apologized and said they are not understaffed he couldn’t understand why the hygienist lied, and how I should be sucking the water where it needs to be cleared, then offered to clean my teeth, I declined. This place is a joke, why must I assist you while you clean my teeth? I have never walked out on a dental cleaning before. Though my teeth are sensitive, they always have been and I do have a good pain tolerance as well in comparison to my other cleanings else where, and I do not make a huge deal out of things. This was the worst experienced I ever had. Left in tears with even more sensitive teeth, sore bleeding gums and mouth.

The staff is very friendly and professional. They make communication easy by offering all platforms depending on your preference. The dentist was gentle with my procedure.

Awesome experience as always. The assistants and the dentists are attentive and personable. As a patient, I feel like they are really trying their best.
