It's an alright dentist office the only thing I did NOT like was I was not able to be with my 5yr old daughter during her procedure or my 7yr old. I was told I had to be with my 2 other children which are 11 & 13yrs old and that they were also minors. I should have been with my 5yr old and 7yr old. I asked to check on my children I heard my 5yr old screaming her lungs out while they were working on her teeth nobody came to get me to be with her
before they even started I was also told there was no room for me or my other 2 children to be back there. I was very upset because they are minors and me being there parent I should have been back there with them through the whole procedure. Not happy with how they handled my children's care. I will be calling my children's insurance to pick another dentist I will NOT be bringing my children back here.

This place is so ghetto! The staff are rude and treat your children aggressively and don't give them explicit instructions on what to do to service them effectively. When I spoke with the manager about it she assured me she would handle the situation and give me a call to discuss her findings. She never did! When I called her back she left me on hold and kept sending me to the call center/ corporate office. They don't care about their customers and they are not professional at all! The only reason I gave them one star is because I had to in order to post this comment.

My name is Crystal C.They see children and adults at this location. I made an appointment for myself here. So happy that I did. Korey, a great hygienist made me feel very comfortable and did an excellent job of cleaning my teeth. Thanks Korey😀😀

I have been going here for almost a year and I love the staff and all of the help and advice they give. They always take great care of my kids and their teeth! Keep up the great work and we will be back real soon!

My son's appointment was made 1 month ago for 05/21/2016 at 10:00 am. They called me 1 day before to let me know they had to change it to 1 or 1:30 pm because the doctor had to put someone else in my spot.... I work on Saturdays from 8am-noon and I had to get the day off (without getting paid) to take my son to the Dentist at 10am. I called my boss to let him know I was going to be able to come to work and he agreed....
Kool Smiles called me again on the appointment day (Saturday) @10:30 am (while I was working) to let me know they had to cancel my 1pm appointment they gave me the day before, and to tell me that my son had to be there asap in order for them to treat him. Luckily my son's dad was visiting and he was able to take him.... I really wanted to cancel the appt but I need my son's cavities to get fixed. I WILL NEVER COME BACK!!!!!

This office is great when it comes to the care of small children. I am able to go back with my little ones who are 3 and 1 1/2 years old and meet the doctor and the hygienist and be involved in my children's care. However, I took away 2 stars because I also have a eleven year old and for some reason I have to sit back in the waiting room while he goes back alone. Now, here's my issue with this... he is a minor and my family and I have already experienced having a dental office insist that parents wait in the waiting area while they treat my son alone. Long story short I later found out that he was given local anesthesia twice without my knowledge. With this said, I don't feel comfortable letting my children go into a room to be treated alone especially when later I'm being asked to sign papers for treatment yet I haven't spoken to a doctor or seen any xrays. I am not taking anything away from the duties of the dental assistant. I am a pediatric nurse myself and I work with many doctors within the Grady Health System so I can relate. Yet, I am very big on the importance of bedside manners and I believe that when it comes to a child's care and the involvement of their parents that the doctors themselves should deliver any information when it pertains to future treatments. Unfortunately, the dental assistant did not make my feel confident in why my son needed future treatment on his mouth. Lastly, when I asked my 11 year old son about his visit, he wasn't even able to tell me who he saw or what they said about his care. Meaning, no one made sure that even he understood what was being done nor did anyone assured him of who they were (doctor or hygienist). I have been all the above: Private insured, Self-pay and even a Medicaid paying patient. But for some reason when I am Private or self-pay I always receive much better care and information from healthcare facilities than when I am a medicaid paying customer. Not far. Hopefully, when I return and any other families who may have experienced feeling of being treated this way, we will be able to be more involved in the care and treatment of all of our children's visits and not just the babies.

I had Geovanni as my nurse and he was absolutely great!! I was nervous about the procedure that I was having and he explained everything and helped me relax!!! I would definitely recommend Geovanni as your nurse!!! The environment was really nice and very professional. I definitely wouldn’t mind coming again! Thanks Geovanni!

The wait times can be a little long but overall my experience with KS at the Forest Park location has been Good. Dr. Phillps and her DA Tajuanna M. are SUPER NICE! I look forward to bringing my child back to visit them again !

I had a horrible experience a couple of yrs. ago at another location; so I didn’t know what to expect. It was real refreshing to be greeted with the best customer service from the ladies at the front desk. At that point the expectation was high and Dr. Gillespie and her Assistant Shawndrell didn’t disappoint they were great.

I wish that I could give NO stars!!! By far the worst experience I've ever had!!! The young lady that checked me in was extremely nice, it was all down hill from there. The young lady that does the weight and asked questions for doctor was extremely rude and in no shape form or fashion kid friendly!! From there we were all stuffed in the back with barely any room for the customers that were already waiting, the doctor came in and did a rush job on every patient that was waiting for him, he also told me that my daughter that she had an infection but failed to give her a prescription for antibiotics when I questioned about it he told the young lady who has NO authority to write a prescription to do it, needless to say she never got the prescription! In the parking lot of the dentist office my daughter kept complaining that her tooth was now hurting keep in mind she went to the dentist office in no pain, I realized he had dug in her gums so much that he scrapped up her gums causing them to bleed!! I don't trust anything the doctor said to me, I'm furious that I wasted my morning in that place!!!! Furthermore my nine year who neverrrr had a problem with the dentist says she never wants to go back!!! I will never step foot back in Kool smiles again I don't care which location it is that was enough for me!!!
