Pflugerville Modern Dentistry and Orthodontics

My family has been going to this dentist's office many years. Their price is high. However, they are close to my house and also a prefer (in network) dentist with my insurance.
Last year, in October, I got some work done that cost close to $3K. They told me that in their experience, my insurance would not cover the procedures. I paid for the service that day. In December, I received a statement from my insurance that they had paid 50% of the service cost. 3 weeks later, I didn't hear or received a refund from Modern Dentistry in Pflugerville. I called the office, spoke to the office manager. She checked and told me that I will get my refund (close to 1.4K). Until today, I still am didn't get a penny back from them. I already called them 4x. They told me that they are waiting for a 3rd party to approve the refund.
This is absolutely shady business. They took my money and my insurance money. I paid them directly on the day of service. However, they have to wait for someone else to approve the refund which is 3 months later.
Does anyone out there experience the same problem? What do I have to do to get my money back?
They probably don't care, but they have lost my business because of irresponsible customer service that they're providing.

We had the best experience that we have ever had in our entire life here at this Dentist office, my son was having pain in A bad tooth and needed it pulled, they saw us on A Saturday, we saw Dr. Seema Patel, she treated my son very gentile, and pulled the bad tooth out with no pain for him, she was awesome, on our way out I had insurance and even with the insurance the bill was pretty high. I was afraid that we wouldn't be able to take care of it, Dr. Patel gave us A discount, and did A couple of procedures for free. I cried in the office, that was so nice of her to do, she made us feel really loved that day, we will continue our journey here at this office from now on.

It’s always nerve wrecking going to a new dentist but everyone here made the experience nothing short of amazing! The warmest welcome from Brenda at the front desk was just the beginning. Very professional! Rene was the sweetest soul getting me prepared to face the Doctor. In walks Dr. Patel, breaking down the procedure and making sure I was comfortable along the way. Can’t wait to recommend y’all to everyone!

This is a wonderful office. They were very caring and made sure of my comfort. They talked with me about every step of the process before during and after my root canal! They will be my go-to for dental care beyond my regulate dentistry.

Xavier was so kind, inviting, & great with the detail and small things. Super attentive and made me feel very comfortable.

Overall awesome experience. Angie was very attentive when taking x-rays, as-well as asking me if I had any additional concerns. Aaron did an amazing job as a dental technician making the experience as comfortable as possible. Lyon the hygienist was very thorough with his cleaning; gave me awesome dental Hygiene tips. Dr. Patel reviewed my x-rays and gave a lot of thought about my future dental plans and addressed any concerns I had. Overall everyone was friendly. The office is also very clean and organized. Highly recommend.

I was looking for a new dental office and I can say this place is the one.
The office staff was amazing and the wait time was little to none.
Becky is amazing and very gentle. I was going to cancel my appt. as I was nervous for the procedure that I was getting done , but glad I didn't as the was NO PAIN at all. Becky really took her time and I truly like that . I would recommend this dental office as I have found a new home :)

I have been talking to them to get teeth out. After me calling every week to get an appointment. Success i get one for oral surgery. Keep in mind you have to request time off and make sure you prep everything in your life for this. The day of the surgery I get a call that they are canceling my surgery. The Dr. Does not feel comfortable in performing my surgery. You tell me this now. The first time I called this office was in the last week of September here I am in November with a canceled appointment
Not cool.

I cannot tell you enough how I would NEVER return here or recommend this place. The amount of pain I left in is absolutely unacceptable. I know that sounds like a me problem, but it wasn't tooth pain. This was pain from having multiple hands shoved into my mouth, tools down my throat, and just a lot of jabbing and pulling. I think the providers forgot I'm a human person capable of feeling pain. I've had A LOT of dental work done, this is the first time I have ever struggled to swallow - and that lasted for 3 days. I don't know what they did or how they did it, but while it seemed their bedside manner was okay, it's all surface. They didn't care about me, my pain, or my request for breaks. They were aggressive and didn't care. On top of that, they wanted to charge me $800 for the exact same procedure (root canal) than every other dentist in the area. Save your money, save your mouth. Do not go.

Probably the worst dentistry I have been to. The doctors are quite inexperienced and are quick to jump to suggesting costly procedures. Did my filling for a tooth that barely had any issue and ever since then it introduced more issues instead. The anesthesia they gave while cleaning/filling worn out during procedure but despite mentioning that they kept on going with the procedure while it was hurting. The frontend staff is horrible too. My HSA card was having issue and they set me hostage pretty much not letting me go until I clear the balance when they could have clearly billed me. Found another dentistry and much better. Won’t ever go here again or suggest anyone to.
