Cannot event put into words how grateful I am for this amazing place and the incredible staff. My family and I were vacationing in Arkansas, and while we were visiting the Garvan Woodland Gardens, I tripped and took a hard fall, resulting in me knocking out one of my front teeth and chipping two others. This took place in the afternoon of the day before Christmas Eve, so all dental services were closed. Except for Arkansas Family Dental. We called and them and they offered to wait for us in their office while we drove to there. Thank you so much to Nurse Lauren and Dr. Card, both of whom worked after hours to help me repair my teeth, and also for reassuring me and calming me down during the procedure. Forever grateful that you helped me restore my smile! :-))

I love this place! Everyone is always so friendly! I get in and out which is so helpful, especially when I have to go back to work.. Also, the dentist and hygienists are so patient with me and does a lot to make sure I’m comfortable.. Dentist visits are not my favorite but since I have to go, it may as well be the best possible experience - Hence, why I will continue to receive services from Arkansas Family Dental!

A simple trip to the dentist turned out to be a horrendous experience for me. Upon arrival, I gave the receptionist a copy of my driver’s license, social security card, and my Allwell Medicare Health Advantage card. They had sent me a link requesting my driver’s license and social security number but I did not enter correctly. Upon arrival to the dental office, I promptly told her that because of identity theft, hacking, I don’t give out that info over the phone or online for these type of appointments. She said that she understood and respected that so she took the info and gave my cards back to me. So, they called me back to the hygienist area. I waited for 1and 1/2 hours before a hygienist came back. During the 1and 1/2 hour wait, a young woman came back and said they were having computer problems with the computer in this room. Then, a young man came back and echoed the same thing. Later, this same young man came back and said that “you only have health insurance.” I was a little taken back because he was inferring that I was not intelligent enough to understand that I had dental coverage but I simply corrected him saying “I gave the receptionist my card, it is Medicare Health Advantage. He said “we are out of the network for MEDICAID. This young man did not even know the difference. I told him again that with this Medicare Health Advantage (one in which I pay the premium each month), medical, dental, and vision is covered. A few minutes later, another young man came back. He seemed to think that I didn’t have dental coverage either. I told him that I would get Allwell on the phone for him. He said ok, we will let you call. When I called, one of the prompts clearly said dial “2” for dental coverage but that a representative was not available because of the holiday. They evidently had not tried to call the insurance company because they would have heard the same prompt. I told the young man that the Allwell Office was closed for the holiday so a rep was not available. Afterwards, he literally got in my face saying “You are responsible for paying if there is no coverage.” I was taken back and appalled because of the lack of professionalism, respect, and common courtesy. He left and brought some form for me to sign —supposedly saying that I was responsible for payment. I had already signed something on the computer link stating that I was responsible for payment. So, after 1 1/2 hours of disrespect, drained of energy and frankly feeling emotionally beat-down, here comes a hygienist. She took so many X-rays. I frankly thought that there was an excessive number of X-rays. I did not have any cavities, pain, etc. All I wanted was a cleaning. She proceeded to tell me about a deep cleaning that would take 2 visits and another visit 8 days after that. After she finished, I had 30 minutes before I had to be at another appointment —so I had to leave, NO SERVICE received. Hygienist said that they would notify me about treatment plan. ALL I WANTED WAS TO SIMPLY GET MY TEETH CLEANED and ALL THEY HAD TO SIMPLY SAY (within minutes after I arrived, instead of wasting my time), WE ARE UNABLE TO VERIFY INSURANCE TODAY, WOULD YOU RE-SCHEDULE or if they did not want me as a patient, they could have simply told me that early on and I would have left. I simply can’t understand any of it. When I went by the front desk, I asked the young man “How much do I owe you because I will pay you and let my insurance company reimburse you?” He said that would not be necessary. Then, I am thinking to myself, why did I have to endure this beat-down if you don’t want your money today. Also, I need to mention, each young person that addressed me at that dental office, used my first name. To me, that is unprofessional and disrespectful to patients. So, I told that young man as I left “you are too young to call me by my first name.”
I will not go back to this dental office. I called another dentist this afternoon to schedule a cleaning.

After an incident at another dentist where they canceled my son’s appointment, I found Arkansas Family Dental and they got my son in 20 minutes later. It was an emergency dental appointment that the other place had canceled. I couldn’t believe they were able to fit us in. When we got there they were all so kind and understanding. They treated my son great and I would 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for a good dentist.
